Excellent stay at the Marina Mandarin. Singapore
My wife and I stayed for two nights in May 2013 at the Marina Mandarin and found the hotel to be excellent not. staff were responsive and friendly, room was a good size and clean. We were happy with the location as it was about a 20-25 minute walk to the Marina Bay Area eg Garden of lights and Garden Domes. our room overlooked the Marina Bay Sands Hotel and we were able to watch the lazer show from our room - very nice. We enjoyed breakfast which had a good variety of hot and cold foods available. Overall an excellent hotel.

Elegant rooms with dramatic views
Few relaxing days in this lovely hotel eased my bones before the new year.I loved the Atrium bar with live music every evening and the food court in the shopping centre that's part of the hotel. I was amazed that I could walk underground from one end of the city to other end of the city without having to cross the road or facing the hectic crowed. Views from the balcony was mind following day or night. Excellent hotel with equally matching service! I can't wait to go back!

can have better option.
We were booked at the deluxe room, dissapointed on the quality of the room, the carpet was having mouldy odour, the mattrass kind of old and worn out of shape, the bathroom so standard. For the price that we paid, and consider it's a low season we surely can get a nicer room with better service in other hotels at the bay, but since we already paid in advance and can't really change our mind, I decided to up grade us to club floor so we can have a better room that's mean better sleep quality. Except for the access to club lounge..the room it's not even better than the deluxe room at Ritz carlton millenia where we used to stay when we visits Singapore, but at least the bed is better than their deluxe room that we got in the first place. Won't be back here for a while when we still have better option.

Not nice
We stayed with our daughters over a weekend and we disliked it so much and found it so expensive for what it was that we ended up checking out one day earlier. The hotel is enormous and soulless. The rooms are tired. The room we had opened to the big foyer (I think most of them do) and you can hear both the music at night and the birds in the morning. The location is ok but not great. Breakfast variety was average and service non existent. We had to clear the plates ourselves. Altogether I would definitely not recommend it. It you want to spend this amount of money there are definitely better places in Singapore and for this quality you can find much cheaper.

Average
The check-in process is fast and quick. The room size is slightly bigger compared to a normal average size hotel room. The furniture and the settings looks a bit tired and dated especially the bathroom. You can see they did a refurbishment recently but probably did not do a good job. Bed is comfy enough. The bathroom size is ok but the settings and general look and feel show that it is from the 80s'. Service is alright. Did not try the pool so no comment there. The location is quite good as it is linked to a marina square shopping center and a short walk to mrt station. Overall, average only.
