Excellent service
The hotel isn't very close to MRT stations but taxi's are plentiful and cheap in Singapore so it wasn't a problem. The hotel lobby is of course impressive with a large space and I could watch those elevators going up and down all day. As people mention, the hotel is a little dated but for the price and service, I think it is a good deal. I was a bit disappointed when I arrived on my floor and there was a strong musty odour. But it wasn't in my room which was large and well appointed. Service levels in Singapore are usually good, but at the Atrium they are exceptional. The transport guy out the front, the concierge, the receptionists were all outstanding. But the standout was the service in the breakfast restaurant. Despite being a large hotel, I was so impressed that Miss Excell remembered my name on the second day. And what a breakfast buffet! A lot of variety and good quality. I had room service dinner one night and it was very good but also very expensive. I think I paid SGD42 for some satay sticks and fried kway teoh noodles. In a hawker stall you would pay

Clean and comfortable hotel, excellent service
This hotel is clean and comfortable and has everything you need for a good price. We received free late check out (6pm) and in room internet as part of our package. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is nice and quiet. I recommend staying here if you are not so keen on the hustle and bustle of Orchard road. The food is not particularly fancy but is of a good quality. We ate breakfast at the restaurant and also had dinner at the buffet. The buffet features a good range of foods. The best food we ate was the room service the club sandwich was very nice. The hotel provides a free shuttle bus to Orchard Road which is convenient. There is also a small shopping center and a few restaurants close to the hotel. The service we received during our stay was outstanding on all occasions. Overall this hotel is not the fanciest but if you are after somewhere a bit quieter with outstanding service then I recommend this hotel for you.

Everything we could ask for
Great hotel, well maintained and lovley staff.Our family of 5 (Mr 13, Miss11 and Mr 10) spent 4 nights in Singapore and loved 'coming home' to the Atrium. Singapore is not the most inexpensive of cities and this hotel was really reasonabley priced,the location Ok and pleasant little extras were greatly appreciated. Travelling with fussy children we opted not to have the buffet breakfast as the could easily sleep until lunch time but the divine staff in the restaurant were more than happy to make my partner and I take away expresso to have back in room whiclt the children slept. (at no charge)Singapore is such a large city I am unsure if there is truly one central location that is preferrable so the Atrium worked well for us as we were only a taxi ride away from most attractions. (Word of warming thou- Singapore taxis don't come in people mover/maxi taxi proportions) so we needed 2 taxi's everytime we ventured out as they are only licenced to seat 4.)There is a great conveniece store adjoining the lobby so you can buy snacks, souvenirs, drinks (including alcohol) etc. Great World City shopping centre is a 7 minute walk and has all the most do stores Including Marks and Spencer, Cold Storage supermarket, restaurants, food hall....Highly recommend Holiday Inn Atrium!

breathing space in singapore
although quite a way from the airport for a stopover between flights, its worth going to get away from the airport bustle. Nice helpful reception staff, very knowledgable, and will give you alist of offers on at hotel, room comfortable well equipped amenities dressing gown etc. comfortable bed, slightly dated decor but very clean wifi available in lobby or resonable rate per day, check all the packages on offer some are very good $9 each way for transfer to airport, or train/bus journey for about $4. near small mall.

Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff
We are staying here for 2 nights and from the time we arrived last night late we were very happy with the welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. The check in was smooth and efficient. We didn't have currency so the receptionist quickly changed our Aussie dollars and took the money out to pay the taxi. The room was big, comfortable king size bed and a bath - bliss. Breakfast was good - lots of choice and then we were given good directions to walk along the Singapore River Walk . just across the road. After a fabulous visit to the Gardens by the Bay we came back to the hotel . used the Business Centre and then received great advice on getting computer OTG cord for our Nexus tablet at the nearby Great World City shopping mall - from a very tall young concierge at the entrance - lots of great shops and also grocery store - and only approx 5 - 10 mins walk from hotel. Looking forward to coming back in June.
