Perfectly Located
This hotel is perfectly located with easy access to travel anywhere in Milan. Though the property might look old, the rooms and other areas are well maintained. My room was very spacious with a bed, sofa and a balcony. I did not take breakfast in the hotel so nothing to comment. There are many restaurants within walking distance. Reception area is little small but check in was very fast and staff were friendly and helpful. This is a good place to stay in a good location.

Great location, great room
We stayed 2 nights on August'12.The location is great, in front of the Porta Venezia subway station and close to the Stazione Centrale (very short ride by taxi or you can take the tram 9). There was a self service laundry 2 blocks away.We booked through the hotel website and got a nice fare, without breakfast. The staff was friendly, but we asked for directions to an address and the receptionist didn't know where it was, and he ended showing us the wrong direction...The room is great, very comfortable, nice bathroom, clean.

Perfect for a short visit to Milan
I stayed here whilst on a business trip to Milan. The hotel is well-located, roughly mid-way between Milan Central Station and the city centre - both are about a 20 minute walk away via pleasant, extremely wide and extremely busy streets. Alternatively, there is the Milan Metro, with Porta Venezia station just outside the hotel. This is on the red line (Line 1) which will whisk you to the Duomo in just a few minutes. Despite looking rather dated and quaint on the website, the hotel is actually very well kept and surprisingly modern. The rooms are comfortable and spacious with good facilities - the shower was amazing, the air-conditioning was effective, and the tea/coffee/hot chocolate making facilities were very welcome. The rooms are also kept immaculately clean. After working in my room all morning with a 'do not disturb' sign on the door, I presumed I would forego the daily housekeeping. However, after returning that evening I was pleasantly surprised to find the room had still been serviced. It almost felt like they wanted to keep the place spotless!The hotel staff are very friendly and will happily provide you with a map and recommend local restaurants and facilities. Wi-fi is strong throughout the hotel (even in the rooms) but the password is changed on a regular basis and must be obtained from reception. The only thing that lets the hotel down are the breakfast facilities, which are somewhat lacking. There is the usual European fare (bread, cheese, meat, fruit, cake etc.) but it is very limited and not particularly good quality. You may be better popping to the restaurant next door (possibly owned by the hotel) where the food is of a much better standard. All in all, this is a very good hotel in an excellent location and perfect for a short visit to Milan.

Good but...................................
Well located. Metro access 20 metres away. Room and bathroom good standard. Attentive and helpful reception staff. Breakfast was poor value at 12 euros per person - coffee terrible and service indifferent. There was an overpowering smell from the drains in the hotel reception area ane lift. Problem with beggars outside the hotel entrance.
