Good place to stay
When my family request to for a 2 double bed for 2 night stay at Cardiff Marriott, they gave us a 1 double bed room with a rollout bed cause we put 3 adults in our booking and we had 3 adult and one 14 year old child. This make us very uncomfortable to sleep as we need to squeeze. But the breakfast was delicious. Parking at hotel really convenient as we need to walk out from the parking building to the hotel lobby. Receptionist was polite and kind.

Speedway Stay
This was our second year staying at the Marriot for the Speedway GP weekend and it was another great stay. We have previously stayed at Novotel, Radisson Blu, Park Plaza and Celtic Manor but love the Marriot and will continue to return. The rooms are spacious and kept very clean. The toiletries are nice and useful! The shower is VERY powerful - it almost knocks you backwards!We ate in the restaurant, Centrale Brasserie on Friday night and we really enjoyed our meal, our waiter William was great - very polite and friendly. The food was plentiful and very tasty. After the speedway on Saturday evening we went back to the marriot and ate in the Chats Bar - it was busy but we didn't have to wait long and again the waitress was very polite and friendly.Both breakfasts were fantastic, with everything you could want, tasty sausages and nice pastries.The central position of the hotel is superb - we spent all day Saturday shopping and enjoying the atmosphere in the town centre with all the speedway fans out in the sunshine. The only downside with being so central is the noise at night - there are bars in front of the hotel that play music into the early hours but we all slept OK and it's worth it to be in such a great city centre position.The staff are the gems of the hotel - everyone was so friendly and polite and always smiled and said Good Morning etc - we were made to feel very welcome (in some hotels we have felt more like we are in their way)! There is a great atmosphere in the hotel and we will be returning again next year to enjoy another speedway weekend with The Marriot.

Very nice hotel
This hotel is in downtown Cardiff. You can walk to restaurants. There is a French brasserie at the hotel but it is not open on slow evenings although the bar restaurant offers a short menu. The food is ok. Rooms and service typical of Marriott.

Fantastic hotel would stay again
Hotel was fantastic only stayed one night but lovely room stayed in a double plenty of space bathroom nice and spacious within room very clean and also spacious coffee and tea making facilities lovely soft towels nice views from the window staff very friendly polite breakfast in the morning was lovely everything you could want from cooked English breakfast to a freshly made omelette by the chef to Danish pastry cerials yoghurt toast cheese and meat toast every type of jam or marmalade you could ask for definetly stay again

Central and comfortable enough, though rooms are a little dated
I stayed here for business. The hotel is a quick walk from the train station, and is very close to a number of restaurants, shops and pubs, not to mention the stadium. This is both good (lots of things are within walking distance) and not so good (if you are on the Mill Lane side of the hotel, or there is a game on, it can get extremely noisy). The hotel itself is pleasant, with a decent lobby and a little bar. The wifi in the lobby was adequate for quickly picking up email and looking up a few things. There is a restaurant which I went to for breakfast, which was adequate though not terribly exciting. The rooms themselves were pleasant, though they (like the hotel) are a bit dated and have seen better days. It worked for sleeping (given there was no loud partying going on outside to bother you), though you would not really want to spend much time in your room. The beds are as comfortable as they always are at a Marriott.
