Great relaxing stay
I was particularly impressed with my room, it was very modern cozy and well decorated. I believe I was given a disabled room, which was a bonus as it was bigger than average! The bathroom was massive and had a lovely walk in shower AND a bath. The bath also had a TV in the wall which I was initially impressed with, however the TV did not actually work.The staff when I checked in seemed indifferent, but at check out they were lovely.I would stay here again.

Extremely friendly and courteous
We had booked through Travelzoo for a special offer. When we arrived the reservation made was for the previous month! The reception staff were extremely helpful and the reservation honoured. We had a superior room facing the waterfront, well worth the extra, which was extremely comfortable. Breakfast at the hotel was a lovely, relaxed experience. Good food and excellent service. Could not fault our stay.

Repeat visitor - good choice...
I've been back to this hotel a few times when I've been visiting friends in the area. There is another Mercure in Bristol but I prefer this one for a few particular reasons; it's conveniently located towards the bottom of Park Street and not too far from the main shopping centre, river view rooms are very pleasant, it's less corporate feeling.It does need a little refurbishment though. I like the slightly skew bedrooms, the generous bathrooms and the quantity of toiletries but the general state of the rooms are getting tired and dated (stains on rug and chair and part of the mini-bar casing joinery skirting had fallen off). That aside, the staff are very friendly; especially the breakfast staff. Breakfast selection is good and they do offer vegetarian sausages! Check out for deals on the hotel which can make this very good value for money.Also, you can use a local gym for free (not sure what it's like though - might try it next time).

perfect business stay
this hotel was perfect in my eyes. the room was lovely and clean with a comfortable bed and all sorts of useful things- hot drinks, fridge, hairdryer, and even a mini tv in the bathroom! i had a particularly great view of the river luckily although i think this might cost extra usually, my stay was paid for by work.

Lovely Hotel
ideally situated at the water's edge and within easy walking distance of Bristol's prime cultural, business and shopping districts.¿¿¿ Really enjoyed our stay here. Close to Restaurants and Cobalt Circus shopping district. Enjoyable breakfast. We chose room 305 Privilege Room.Enhanced room with view of city, boulevard & river. Equipped with flat screen TV, internet/TV pkg, Nespresso coffee machine, soft drinks, newspaper, hairdryer, safe, ironing facilities, MP3 connector, robe & slippers, ensuite bathroom with TV. We managed to get a special offer on the room and breakfast. Would certainly stay at this hotel again.
