Small Room but with spacious storage and clean
Location is excellent. The staffs are polite and helpful. Room is a bit small but newly renovated. My room is just opposited to the stairs exit to first floor, so quite noisy in the morning. This is my second time stating in this hotel mainly just because is the location, it is very convenient to anywhere in the town. Parking policy should be revised for hotel guest i.e. daily rate within the staying period instead of $15/exit.

Internet charges are a scandal
Paid ¿¿130 B & B per night for a 2-night stay on business. Reception staff friendly & room (3rd floor) was fine, even if the bathroom was grubby & needed a good deep clean. The buffet breakfast in the morning was average for this level of hotel. As most reviewers have said, the main asset of the Hilton Bath City is its excellent central location, which is why I booked it (visiting customer in the middle of Bath). In my opinion there were 2 aspects of this stay that were totally unacceptable. Firstly, Hilton want to charge ¿¿15 per night for wi-fi in your bedroom. I find this absolutely scandalous. I didn't pay it and was so cross that I didn't spend anything over their bar nor use their restaurant - so their greed cost them in the end.Secondly, even at Premier Inns the rooms were re-stocked properly each day. They failed to top up tea, shampoo bottles or even sugar in the room so somebody had to bring them up later. A small point but it's not cheap staying here! Most of the guests seemed to be foreign tour parties so maybe Hilton feel they can get away with charging ¿¿15 for the internet. You also pay ¿¿15 to park in the underground car park. No wonder people were arriving back at the hotel with bags of provisions from Waitrose next door.

Great location in Bath
Bath is a very compact city and easy to navigate by walking. When I couldn't get rooms at the Abbey Hotel, I booked at the Hilton. I was lucky not to have gotten into the Abbey Hotel. Hilton was an easy picturesque 10 min walk from the Roman Baths and Bath Abbey, the two most important sites to see. The Bath Spa train station is under 15 min easy and very safe walk from the hotel. All the tour buses go through parking spots in from of the Abbey Hotel which would have been too busy for me (I'm not dissing the Abbey Hotel since I didn't stay there; it's just that as a stranger, it would have made "sense" to stay at a hotel closest to the attractions not realizing how walkable Bath city is). The breakfast spread (included in my package) was the best included buffet I have ever been to. The bread seemed to be locally made, there was smoked salmon, the best gourmet type muffins I have ever had (exception being Dunkin Donuts muffins), the staff extremely friendly and helpful (the restaurant hostess even remembered my name when I finished breakfast). A very clean modern grocery store was located next to the Hotel for those planning on longer stays. Also, you can find a great discount on the 2nd room for a family of 4 (you pay full price on one room, 1/2 price on the second: otherwise, it can be pricey). When I went to London, I really missed Bath.

Hilton brand loosing its touch
We stayed in bath for one night, special birthday great for my husbands birthday, nice reception and bar area, lovely staff, let us check in early, good late check out of 12 midday. The room we booked off the Internet was classed as a superior queen room, the room was small and standard, the bathroom was disappointing, jaded in appearance, very poor flushing of toilet and very cramped. My big pet hate in a hotel you pay 200 pounds for one night is the lack of free wifi in the rooms, I also had asked for extra pillows at check in and none supplied, so had to try and get them delivered to the room, very promptly. Room 425.

Special Birthday
Due to the cost I would have to think twice before booking again, as we have a young family cant always get baby sitters, We don't feel the Hilton is a place for children, has there was nothing to entertain them. As much as my husband and I loved the food my children would not eat it. Bath has a city we love the location of the Hilton is ideal for shopping and sight seeing. Also we like the rugby in Bath. If we come again has a family we will have to look for a cheaper way to do it, has we only come for the weekend. We enjoy a drink and its very costly if you drink in the hotel, which we did due to the fact it was my husbands 50th birthday.
