Okay for a one night stay
We have stayed at this Days Inn several times on our trips between Palm Desert, CA and Vancouver, WA. There is nothing fancy about this place but the price is right, the staff is friendly, the landscaping is nice, the wi-fi and continental breakfast are free, and we get exactly what we expect. If you just need a decent place to stay while traveling, I would definitely recommend the Days Inn Castaic. If we were staying in the area for any length of time, we would probably try to find nicer accommodations. The biggest negative we have found is that because we usually travel with our young daughter and need two beds, we always seem to get a second floor room. I do not know if the only rooms with two beds are on the upper level or if this is pure coincidence but without an elevator and with a disabled spouse, getting all our stuff up and down the stairs is very difficult.

Its a dump but you get what you pay for.
Its cheap, we spent most of the time out. The pizzeria next to the hotel is excellent. Its a dive place but its clean and the pizza is yummy. Check out time was 10am!! Thats insane, If you can afford it I would stay somewhere nice.

Good Place to stay. Nice staff!
We were in town for business and booked the hotel via the Days Inn website. The rooms were nice an clean and worth the price we paid for. We got lucky, since because of the weekend rates even went up, right after we had booked ;o). The staff there is very nice and receptive to all kinds of request we had. Especially Anjana from the frontdesk was a great help. Thank you guys for making our stay such a really good experience. PS: In the mornigs we went jogging to the Castaic lake area, which is very beautiful and located really close by.

Broke down in CA
This Days Inn was in a area that was run down, the motel its self looked a little run down but the landscaping was very nice. It looked as if the management was taking pride in what they had to work with. The carpet in the room was stained and not very clean looking, The furnishings were outdated and felt sticky as if the wrong kind of stain was applied. The convenience of having a microwave and fridge were a nice surprise, but there was not a way to adjust the fridge temp so it froze every thing. I had to throw out most of what I bought.
