Loved this hotel
We loved this hotel & the only 'faults' I could find would be to say there was no hand rail in the bathroom & the grout was a little 'tired'. I am being very picky here as the overall experience was a pleasure. We had an ocean view, overlooking the pool & the room was very light & spacious. The bed was soooo comfy & the bedding was soft but also crisp looking.The bathroom was huge with loads of space to store sponge bags etc.The front desk clerk was very friendly.While there is a car park charge this can easily be avoided by using the free public car park, literally across the street.

We were blown away! LOVED IT.
We are still grinning from ear to ear after an amazing stay at Crowne Plaza Terrigal. We used to stay here often 2-3 times a year for many years but that was over 6 years ago so we had mixed feelings about returning after such a long period.The staff were absolutely outstanding making our stay such a wonderful experience from the reservation right through to check out. My husband and I stayed (child free for once), for two nights 24-26th May (room #702 - amazing ocean/pool view room with balcony on the top floor). It's the people that make the difference and we still can not believe that EVERYONE we encountered was so friendly, warm and wonderful. It started with our dealing with Bree to reserve the room and then Graham who happily added an extra night with such flair and friendliness. Upon checking in we were blown away by having a bottle of champagne delivered to our room as it was a special occasion delivered with a lovely card. What a beautiful touch. Our room and view were terrific. Next we trotted downstairs to the Lord Ashley Lounge for a beverage and my apologies that I do not remember the bar attendants name but he was wonderful and proudly told us that the hotel is one of only 45 places that serves Crown Lager on tap. I treated to myself to champagne whilst my husband opted for the tap beer. From there we went downstairs to the beachside bar and had a few more beverages and a light meal. Again wonderful service.At breakfast the next morning Teresa was so beautiful bringing us cups of tea and coffee and making sure we everything was fine. Also how amazing it was to have a barista for terrific cappucinos. Breakfast offered everything imaginable cooked in every way imaginable. Creating your own juices was a lovely touch too.The room service attendant brining us ice and our lunch was super friendly as was the lovely lady who came to make up our room. We thoroughly enjoyed having robes and slippers to make our stay even more cosy and if that wasn't enough the beds and pillows were heavenly. Sadly when it was time to check out, even the front office manager made even that a pleasant experience. What an outstanding time we had made all the more special by the amazing staff. It's been far too long since we last stayed and we wont leave it that long again. We'll definitely be back and will even bring Master 5 next time too.

Local's Deal
Got a great deal advertised by this hotel - a 'Local's Deal'. Dinner at the restaurant (2 course, 2 choices, with a glass of wine thrown in, value $40 per head), accommodation in a Terrigal View room (not beach or pool facing), full buffet breakfast (around $30 per head) and secure car parking included ($18). All this for $199, which makes the room under $50 per night. It was my birthday so we politely asked for a better room and without fuss, were given an east facing beach/pool view room. The north facing rooms are our preference in winter, but they were booked. We are also Priority Privilege members, so that may have helped.We love our little short breaks here. 20 minutes from home but a world away. You'd have to be really fussy to find fault with this place. If you stayed here without this deal, there are plenty of places to eat within a block and the beach is over the road for a pleasant stroll or a swim if it's warm weather.

HighTea Excellence
If you are looking for something special for Mothers Day next year, you cannot go past the Crowne Plaza Terrigal's Mothers Day High Tea. A glass of champagne on arrival for the Mums, a superb High Tea buffet selection, excellent service, a talented singer providing excellent background music and gorgeous views. The buffet selection included hot pastries, mini bagels, finger sandwiches, scones with jam and cream, a selection of slices, mini cupcakes, 2 chocolate fountains, a separate spread for those who are gluten-free and tea and coffee, of course.

Location is by the beach, breakfast is the best, rooms are a bit tired
I have mixed feelings.The breakfast is among the best of any hotel Ive been too in australia - smoothies, juice bar, many types of fruit. Service is brilliant.The gym is old but pretty good.Pool are is old but pretty good.Indeed, entire hotel is dated but the views of the beach are stunningThe room was not as clean as expected, and the carpets seem a bit tired.
