What you would expect in a Sheraton
Recently I have stayed at the Sheraton several times.Whether you are visiting Brooklyn or trying to save by staying just outside of NYC the Sheraton is conveniently located. The rooms are nice size and well appointed. I was surprised at how quiet the late evening got. For the city this is a real plus.The area around Downtown Brooklyn is great for an evening walk.. The neighborhoods have changed and for the most part the area is safe. A recent late night walk scored me a slice of pizza and a snapple for $2.00. Not sure how they did it. The pizza was great.For business or pleasure I would recommend this property.

Great value just don't drive your car there.
My wife and I just stayed here as we were going to a concert at the Barclay center. It is a short ten minute walk to the Barclay center. It was no trouble finding the hotel as the apple maps app gave precise directions. The only significant issue with this hotel is the parking. There is no parking. What they do is have some valets from the lot around the corner park your car. It's the only 24 hour lot on the area so that is your only choice. You can't see the lot from the hotel so we just paid the valet to park it. $39 for 24 hours. But for us it was an extra $10 because we have an SUV. Ouch. $49 and you can't charge it to the room. The valet service is terrible as you will wait a long time for them to walk back and forth to the lot. Anyhow, the hotel itself was cheap $150 for the night. The room was small but not terrible. The bed was awesome and the bathroom was very nice. The elevators are painfully slow but not enough to ruin your day. The neighborhood is just ok. A couple of random crazy people made for a few awkward moments but that's the case in every city. In conclusion, we will probably stay at this hotel again but would never ever consider driving there.

Small rooms, spacious gym, paid internet in rooms
+ Location (close to underground station, 15 mins to Manhattan)+ Free internet in lobby+ Spacious gym with daylight- Power sockets built into a bed-side lamp not working reliably - power goes on and off in half-second intervals. I first didn't notice it and missed an alarm clock in the morning as I let my cell phone charge from the lamp and it went completely off before the morning.- Paid internet in rooms - when will hoteliers finally realize that internet is a commodity that when paid for is lowering their public ratings?- I declined housekeeping service for 2 nights and on check-out the receptionist checked my guest profile and confirmed that SPG points will be added to my Starwood account. All set I thought. Checked a week later, no record of my stay - had to report the missing data using the SPG online form. Still wonder whose profile was updated with my stay data?

good choice..
hotel is in a good location, near LIU... service is good, rooms are perfect. There are not too many places to eat nearby but you can easily walk to a subway station and go somewhere. You only need to be careful when walking at night. The streets are a bit isolated. The internet connection was good. Hotel has taxi service standing by which makes it convenient.

Average for a Sheraton but, great staff!
We stayed there for three nights and was very please with the size of the room. We stayed in the King Suite. The staff was friendly when we arrived. Wilson was great. I found the Sheraton Staff were top notch! The rest of the hotel....that's the problem. Our key didn't work for the club lounge and had to go to front desk FOUR times to try to gain access, even with the front desk attendant. When we did gain access, the breakfast was just coffee, danishes, tarts and a empty tray of eggs and dry toast. We advice anyone who stays here, go to the restaurant or order room service as we did. It costs more(way more) but, you won't be disappointed. The housekeeping was average, we had to ask for additional shampoo and soap. The toilet paper holder kept falling off when you tried to pull paper off the roll. We ended off leaving the roll on the counter for it was annoying to hear the clanking for the holder falling to the floor when using the facilities. The restaurants staff is great and the ribeye steak dinner was good. This hotel needs to focus on the the club lounge, the key access and the valets. If so, they will get five stars. The neighborhood wasn't as bad as others have stated, it's alright.We never felt unsafe. Good place to stay if you need easy access by train. The subway is close and easy. We would stay here again!
