This hotel is within walking distance of Universal but the area does not appear safe to walk the distance. The area is run down and desserted.Our room was dirty. There were long black hairs all throughout the breadspread. The refrigerator interior was broken. The materials promoting events at Universal Studios that was in the room was for events that occured in April. The bathroom was dirty. I reported these things to the front desk and asked that the manager call me back. He must be a busy man because I checked out on 05/23/13 and I am still waiting for him to call me.

The people were very nice, friendly, the room clean and everything work perfect and the price was great. I definetly recomment this hotel and it is very well located close to parks and others attractions

The hotel is in a great location easy access in and out. The room was clean and the beds are good size. It would have been nice to have a Microwave & Fridge in the room.

Floors upon entrance, elevator, 3rd floor was dirty and had not been mopped/vacuumed Room was not cleaned well at all-bits of paper on the carpet, the bathroom still had our footprint. Counter and sink had not been cleaned. The bed was like sleeping in a canoe-you sunk in the middle. I question the initial bill when I checked in and asked to see the rate just to verify-attendant was rude, sharp and said it was paid for wasn't it? That is not what I had asked. I will never return nor refer to family, friend and co-workers. The room smelled like cheap cologne.

Originally we had planned to stay here for a good amount of time, however our stay was cut short when we woke up to find one of our beds infested with bed bugs on our 7th night here. Jay, one of the workers was super and helped us move all of our stuff to a new room. He made sure to give us a discount because of the incident. He also went out of his way to help us. However the next day we were uncomfortable with remaining at the hotel for the rest of our stay and Martin, the assistant manager on duty, was very understanding and allowed us to check out early without penalty and gave us further compensation for the trouble we experienced. An incident sheet on the front desk contained more reports of bedbugs in the rooms in the past month... So our room was not the only one with the bugs. Jay and Martin were great to deal with and I appreciated their hospitality. Other than the bugs, the breakfast area was cramped and seemed to lack a little. The lady watching the area was micromanaging everyone and their breakfast. I ended up skipping breakfast after day two because it wasn't worth it. The maids were very friendly and kind. Our first room had amazingly comfortable beds, our second room had squeaky lumpy beds. The location is great, the parking area is excellent and quiet. The hotel seems to be quiet as well. Elevator broke on our last day here. Wifi is good on the 1st floor, but is very weak on the 3rd floor. Pool is small but great to use on a hot day. Fridge and microwave in room was helpful. Bathrooms were a little dirty, the faucets were difficult to deal with. Hot water came after a minute of running the water. We would have stayed the full time if it weren't for the bedbugs!! Great staff!
