Nice, but have had better
Room was tidy with 2 double beds (no king) no knives or forks so had to cut a chicken with a spoon :/ and eat off tiny teacup plates. No view- all you can see is the side of the building and the window opens an inch. Decent sized tv and the staff were great. Little disappointed

Favourite Hotel in Auckland
This is our favourite hotel and we are never disappointed.Especially like the huge open spaces and atrium entrance,great for meeting friends and having a get together for a drink. Not like poky newer hotels. Feels luxurious although we have only ever paid budget last minute prices.Our kids are young adult university students who come to to visit so really appreciate the central location and good place to meet and entertain. Room service was good, we just had snack menu grazing type food for hungry visitors,good value and good service.Extra large bathroom,very clean,excellent nights sleep in large comfy beds. We had breakfast in the restaurant,good value,did not have much time to linger so appreciated swift service.We'll be back!

Nice hotel
This is a nice hotel. My daughter and I shared a suite. It was very nice. Lots of room. The bed was so comfortable. The restaurants are very good in the hotel. The only downside to the hotel is that it is right next door to the police department. Unless you are a deep sleeper, the sirens will wake you up.

Generous Rooms Central Location
I got a great online rate for a hotel that is normally out of my budget so I was really pleased that it turned out to be such a good stay. Being built in the 80s it had large rooms with big bath rooms windows and generally a more spacious feel which modern hotels dont have. It felt like the rooms had a recent make over every thing worked perfectly. The free wi-fi signal was a bit weak but there. I used the gym (small but functional), the in door pool & the sauna. The staff were really helpful check in check out seemless and the Japanese Restaurant was very reasonably priced for an international hotel. Breakfast how ever was expensive and I ate out around the corner for a 1/3 of the price. In summary I would go back, the location meant that I visited most places by walking and there was lots of bars and cafes within 5 mins walk.

Brekky to die for
My Wife and I took advantage of a getaway deal to stay at the Rendezvous. The room was great. Comfy bed, Bathroom with separate shower AND bath!! The hotel is quite different from the norm as it has an "atrium" from bottom to top so you can look out from your floor and see what is happening, very cool!The breakfast was FANTASTIC. there were the usual menu items but everything was fresh and hot! (or cold). the Breakfast area was packed and added a neat vibe like being on a cruise or at a resort...Already planned return visit.
