GOOD PLACE TO CHECK OUT DARLING HARBOUR
Booked in for two nights stay (thursday and friday). Greeted by lovely fellow at luggage stand who promptly took our bags. I went in to counter and gave our name, but our room wasnt ready. Not a problem, went and looked around harbour and they rang us an hour later and said room was ready. Very happy with all this service. What let it all down was when we got to our room. The bathroom had mold in the shower area (i could wipe it off with my finger) and something had been spilled at some stage near toilet and was still signs of the colour in the grout. Room was well laid out and bed comfortable. Had a lounge chair with matching footstool and when we moved the footstool there was a piece of chocolate and some sort of cracker biscuit under it. This sort of tells you that either the room wasnt vacuumed or they didnt move furniture when they did vacuum..hmmmmm We paid a good rate, not overly discounted to stay here so sort of expected a really clean nice room. Other than that, very close to everything needed. Breakfast was included. Had a lovely lady named Teneale in the coffee area in restaurant offer and make us a beautiful coffee and a fab hot chocolate. Also had a nice chat with a Nepal man in the bar attached, so wish I had seen his name. Very nice fellow. Made effort to be genuinely friendly. Also had yummy Japanese food on Bathurst Street, between Kent and Sussex St on South side of road. Small hole tin the wall restaurant but GREAT food and service, and low priced.

Excellent getaway for the weekend if you want to stay in the city
Came here with my partner for a weekend away from home. Checked in on Friday night at around 8pm. There were three receptionists hanging around but one walked away when she saw us and the other two were too busy chatting or answering the phone. After 25 minutes of waiting, finally got our room. (we were the only guests there waiting to be served. 25 minutes is disgustingly long)The rooms however, are absolutely fabulous. Very clean, comfortable and definitely spacious. The value for money is excellent but the service provided is definitely not four and a half stars.

Great refresh!
Very impressed with the new look and feel. Rooms have a great modern look and quality to them. Appreciated the upgrade to the Club floor. Great to have a buffet breakfast with fresh food! Excellent selection to choose from. Very convenient for my meetings at Darling Harbour and significantly better than the Four Points just down the road. May not have the great views of Darling Harbour as some other places but for comfort and convenience of location, could not fault. Do yourself a favour!

Below expectations
Booked a 3 night stay here primarily based on their location, 5 mins walk to Darling Harbour. Arrived mid morning and were able to check in which was a bonus. Our room was on the first floor overlooking the street, basic and very roomy but a little noisy and very dark and dingy due to the location of the window. Beware of the $100 a day bond for incidental charges which must be paid upfront, a little unnecessary we thought. Overall the Parkroyal met our needs but I would look elsewhere for a better deal next time we are in Sydney.

Absolutely fantastic!
We stayed here for a weekend mini break and chose the club room. Upgraded to a harbour view room by staff, the room was lovely and spacious,bathroom clean and the shower had a terrific waterfall head on it. Access to the club room was included and with complimentary drinks and hot/cold canapes from 5-8.30 you really need to eat out! A very short stroll across to darling harbour however offers heaps of choices. Late check out and breakfast included each day,lovely staff and valet parking... A truly great experience for a great price!
