Great stay for an in-room business meeting
I stayed at this property in May 2013 for a company training session. Rather than hire an expensive function room for 4 people somewhere else in town, I merely upgraded my hotel room to a Junior Suite - with a separate living room, kitchenette and bathroom and conducted the company training there. Fantastic! The in-house events team even arranged a projector screen for me at a small additional cost. I really enjoyed my stay here & the staff were always very friendly and helpful!

Menzies- Excellent service
I stayed at the Menzies for one night. My friend and I arrived at 10.45am and without asking were offered our room straight away. We had expected to wait until 2pm. Our room was extremely clean and very large and comfortable. We had a queen size bed each and had got his offer for only $139 between us. The decor is very old time classic but not at all worn or tired. The bed was more comfortable than my own. We wanted to sleep all night and all day... We loved the pool and sauna although the spa was not working. The lifts were a little slow at times too but we were in no hurry so didnt bother us. The gym was very large for a hotel and well equipped with modern machines...all of which we tried. We were in Sydney for a hospital reunion cocktail party. While we were waiting in the foyer for our lift a staff member asked us if we would like a champagne each on the house...Wow! When we returned the door was opened for us and we then spent a few hours at the piano bar listening to a very talented young lady sing and play for us. The next day the breakfast was perfect... so much to choose from.....from pork buns to croissants to bacon and eggs or fresh fruit...more than enough for just $15. As we booked out we let them know how much we enjoyed our stay. Just as we were ready to go we were again offered a free champagne or coffee. Even when we were looking a little lost when we first arrived we were offered help immediately without even asking. The staff at this hotel should be very proud of themselves. All were caring and professional at all times. We will look forward to returning.

Great Location
Very helpful and friendly staff. Hotel rooms bit dated and could have been a bit cleaner, rest of the hotel very modern. Kids loved indoor pool and opening times a real bonus. Great Location, close to restaurants and shops. Enjoyed our stay.

May at The Menzies
The hotel was conveniently situated for Circular Quay and the staff were very friendly and helpful both before and during our stay.The choice and quality of food at breakfast was very good.Our two rooms overlooking the park were large and very clean.The only downside was trying to get a meal in the hotel on Sunday night when the Sportsbar was crowded and little sitting to accommodate guests. The food was also very plain and bland.We would have no hesitation in staying at The Menzies again.

Central and Value
Great location above Wynyard Station. excellent breakfast inclusion package and you don't need a car. the rooms are excellent and insist on a front room over looking the park. Walking distance to main stream shopping and cabs and buses always at the front door.
