Don't bother
Stayed three nights. Wont be back.We purchased the rooms from Expedia as the "Mystery Hotel". We wont make that mistake ever again. If you want to stay somewhere nice then do the research and book it ,don't hope for a decent place even if you pay top dollar or if the Expedia review is glowing. Guess that Expedia cant control every listing though.The swimming pool was cold and the spa pool was not working. Dont expect your kids to enjoy it.The rooms a very nice but every night we had to complain about the loud music from the hotels own outside bar. There was nobody at the bar but they insist on having music going all day and as late as they can at night. Views are non existent, unless you count a conrete alleyway as a view.

Enjoyable stay
The room was nicely decorated and had everything I needed. Unfortunatley the bath was small and it was quite cramped in the bedroom area however the bed was very comfortable with good quality linen and I enjoyed a good nights sleep. I did find the room a bit cold and was unable to improve the temperature even though I increased the setting, very chilly in the morning especially.The in room dining came very quickly and was fresh and tasty and all interactions with staff at this hotel were always pleasant and helpful.I stayed for one night on business, this is a very good hotel and my stay was enjoyable and the service very good however I would not say this was a 5 star hotel, it is just missing the wow factor.I would recommend this hotel to anyone though and will certainly be returning myself.

Excellent location
The Stamford Plaza is in Little Collins Street in central Melbourne and within walking distance to some fabulous cafes, restaurants and of-course shopping.There are numerous laneways around the area which is full of street cafes, and great coffee.

Great location but quite small!
Reception was very helpful and the hotel is appointed beautifully. The rooms were well furnished however they were quite small. I had a king 1br suite and it was very small for the price I paid. I selected this hotel because it had an in room spa, but I didnt end up using it. For a romantic getaway, the spa is not suitable for two people, it is basically a shower over bath with jets in it. The rooms were very clean and the bed was the most comfortable bed Ive ever slept in. The block out blinds ensure no light to wake us up, however the saturday morning garbage trucks did so for about 45 minutes.

This would be one of the best Hotel's I have ever stayed in. First rate service amazing staff and so clean. Everyone that works there makes you feel like you are the only guest staying with them. Fantastic. Made our holiday very special.
