Wonderful Service and Location
The hotel was a great place to stay - the staff were to a person really engaging and helpful and had a cheery smile every time we interacted with them.The rooms were clean and well appointed and spacious enough to stretch out a bit. Value for money was excellent - especially given the location - it seemed to be 5 minutes walk from everywhere.I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and would definitely return next time we were in Brisbane.

Another lovely stay at Royal on the Park
This was at least our third stay at the Royal on the Park. Our room was very comfortable with 2 double beds and a gorgeous view of the Botanical Gardens. We booked a special Easter B and B deal which was extrememely reasonable and included breakfast for our family. The breakfast buffet is wonderful with juices, cereals, pastries, fresh fruits and full hot breakfast treats such as hash browns, bacon, eggs, sausages etc. They have even added Espresso machines since our last stay! Such a lovely breakfast provided us with the perfect sustenance to face the theme parks on the Gold Coast. The rooms are serviced daily and are always very clean. The location of the hotel is just a short walk to the city of only a few blocks. We will definitely return to the Royal on the Park on our next stay in Brisbane.

Not 4 and a half star
The room was clean and tidy and had 2 queen beds as advertised. Thats all it was. Bath room was OK except for the dirty vent in the shower. The water temperture could not be maintained and went from hot to cold constantly. I would be afraid of using it with small children. It is a shower over the bath which they all have nowdays but it was a big step to get into. The toliet ran constantly and the towels were absolutly horrible with one so thread bare it ripped when it was used. See photo attached. We had a city view (carpark view) room and there is a noisy building site across the road which works on Saturday. The park is beautiful and it was lovely for the kids to be able to go and run around. The pool area looked nice but we did not use it. The wardrope in our room only opened about 4 inches which made putting bags away impossible. I informed the staff upon check out about these items but they seem as uninterested in us as they did when we checked in. Carpark is guaranteed but not always available undercover and is $28 per day.

Lovely overnight stay
As locals we had a lovely anniversary celebration stay here. From the moment we entered the building we felt valued as guests, the staff were very helpful, and curteous The room overlooked the Gardens, it was very fresh and comfortable inside and spacious.The bed was kingsize and extremely comfy, and bathroom was clean and fresh. Despite being on a busy road, we received no road noise in the room. The blockout curtains really worked well in aiding a sleep in. We ordered room service breakfast as per our booking deal and were extremely surprised by the amount and quality of the food provided. I would recommend this hotel to any visitors to Brisbane as it is central enough to good shopping at The Myer Centre and Mall, the beautiful City Botanical Gardens across the street, and a short walk to Eagle St Pier to catch City Cat to South Bank Precinct,or if you don't wish to walk there are taxis right at the door.

NIce Hotel from a different era
Staying on business, I didnt do any research before staying. I was a bit surprised when i entered the lobby, i felt like I stepped back into time. To be fair, the hotel appeared to have been recently renovated, the staff was friendly and efficient, but the style of the decor was dated (in my opinion). It seemed like the hotel was recently renovated, they just chose to retain the style of a different era. Some may like it, but its not my preference. Since i did not shop around, I can't compare on room price. Positives: Conveniently located adjacent to Botanic Gardens, easy walking distance to restaurants (especially Eagle Street Pier) and the Queen Street Mall, free strong wifi and a lounge bar with a good beer selection. Negatives: One of the two elevators was out of service (Otis service man was on site) on Saturday, and the gym was very basic (better to run along the river, over goodwill bridger and through many parks). The park view from the 8th (they have 10) floor was nice but unspectacular.
