Needs a change of management or staff training
I stayed here for one night based on price and location and paid $99 for a $250 room via one of those 'late rate' sites. My room (306) was clean and the bed comfy. The TV remote didn't work and when I called reception they said there was nobody to come up with fresh batteries; I could come down to reception if I wanted to and get a replacement remote. Apart from this, the TV worked fine except SBS was fuzzy. The bathroom and shower were clean. Free admission into the 'Asian style bath house' (normally $19) was nice but not thrilling. Friendly girl on reception. I had a dip in the spa and a couple of sessions in the sauna. Doubtful that I'd stay here again unless as a last resort.

Losing its touch...
This is still a nice hotel, and it is undergoing a 'facelift'. The Korean Bathhouse underneath, to which guest have free access is my usual reason for staying here. However they no longer have the gym there and the steam room is gone too. On Sunday nights the spa closes at 530pm - caught me out :(. Rooms were still clean as ever, just there was poor (but adequate) lighting in the room. Also I noted the shower was in a bad position making showering uncomfortable and. It was wetting the toilet paper. The provided little soaps were hard and dry too. This hotel has always been one of my favourites, but I believe it is losing its touch now. Pricing is very reasonable and I think you get a great deal given the reasonable price. FrontDesk staff seemed a little rushed and overworked and not quite as patient and friendly as I've experienced in the past. I keep my fingers crossed for this hotel and still really promote it as my choice of accommodation in Brisbane mostly because it is easy walking distance from the $2/day public bicycles (and then everything is within easy reach!), close to the river, the Mater hospital, Maritime Museum, and really close to CBD without being in the CBD. several decent restaurants and baker in the adjoining Diana Plaza too, and food in hotel is good and reasonably priced.

Vote with your wallet .dont stay here
In this day and age why are people like this allowed to still have a business !! Ignorance is not bliss and listen to the reviews fail on all counts !!!! Not a 4.5 star in any way shape or form !!!! Lifts that don't go to certain floors wtf !!! 5 bucks for a canned coke they got from Coles !!!! Stay anywhere else ... Maintenance is obviously on the bottom of the budget if they even have a budget these guys are a joke

Comfortable but could be a gem
Stayed 3 nights. Hotel is in a very good location for southside Brisbane and reasonably priced. It's comfortable and recently been repainted on 3rd floor (probably on all 3 accommodation floors). Ground floor reception does not give a great impression with mismatched furniture (some of which is a pretty tired) and during our stay one of the major light fittings had only 2 of 5 globes working. Breakfast is adequate but on a busy morning with only 1 "breakfast employee" you will struggle to find a table that has been cleared. Could not locate an iron in our room (and the staff could not locate a spare one in the hotel) and room servicing does not seem to extend to replacing (washing) used cups, saucers and glasses.Spa is great with complimentary access to guests.Overall Hotel adequate, but with some attention to detail it could be a gem.
