Happy traveller
Have stayed here on quite a few occasions with my family. There are five of us so we always book a family room. There is plenty of space for everyone and we always include breakfast. Rooms are very clean apart from the pigeons outside on the balcony. Service in the restaurant is especially great. My son was really looking forward to having the pancakes but unfortunately the machine was broken but the lady on duty asked the chef to make some, so one very happy customer. Free parking is great. Very convenient location. Will be back again as great value.

Comfortable and quiet
A well appointed hotel in a quiet location opposite a park on the edge of the 'square mile'. Rundle Mall is about a 15 - 20 minute walk. Trams and buses close by in King William St. Also close to several restaurants, pubs and other eateries. Desk staff were courteous and helpful at all times. Two suggestions for improvements: access to the internet via a computer within the hotel (there is one a few doors down in the other Chifley Hotel), also a couple of biscuits to go with the tea/coffee provisions. Minor points and overall very happy with our stay at the Grand Chifley.

A hidden treasure
Our room overlooked a beautiful private school and playing fields so we were surrounded by greenery. Beautiful view from our balcony. It is in a very quiet area but easy walking distance to Gouger Street. We were talking to some locals and they recommended a cheap and cheerful little gem for dinner. It is Thanh Thanh, 18 Field Street, Adelaide off Gouger Street.On checking out we advised the concierge that we were Qantas Staff and if we got bumped could we return. He said he'd welcome us back to the same room. Luckily we got on the flight, though.

Nice hotel on the edge of town
Stayed here on business, on one of the higher level floors, with great views of the city. This hotel is on the edge of the city, being away from the centre of town and eateries. It is opposite a large park, and if you are a good walker or jogger, is perfectly located. Room had a balcony, and appeared to have had a recent makeover. Purchased as a random unknown on Wotif.

Grand Chifley's location was so convenient for our short trip to Adelaide
Grand Chifley was an excellent place to stay for our 4 day to trip to Adelaide. A trip to the Barossa Valley to sample the great food and wine, a visit to Hahndorf, a trip to Victor Harbour and and afternoon at the Turner Exhibition filled in our days. A worthy mention was also our visit to Bird in the Hand Winery what a pleasant surprise. Great location, staff very knowledgeable and great wine.
