Small stay..
Quiet room located well away from the noise of roadworks on North Terrace. Great coffee in the Federal cafe but room was a real dissappointment. Extremely small and hot. Budget room with a nice finish, ask for a larger room, there are bigger ones. Great location for our convention but wouldnt stay again.

Grovenor - Adelaide SA
My only issue with my stay was the location of my room. I was on holidays & my room was in a positioned near a lift which started creaking & moaning very early in the morning. I guess I could have asked to be moved but didn't want to cause a fuss.The bedding and bathroom were well maintained. The staff were pleasant but I did not have much need for them.

very rude staff
Whilst the hotel is well located and pretty good for short stays there was an issue. On street parking is particularly bad if you have a car. The day that we arrived the check in person was particularly rude, he could have been the duty manager. he certainly is in the wrong job role. I and my 3 other friends travelling with me would never return. The rooms by the way are quite small so only good for 1 or 2 night stays if your happy to be around very unfriendly staff.

Just Average
Room not ready on arrival (after 2pm check in time), key didn't work and not the type of room we requested. Not off to a good start. Nonetheless, staff were helpful in addressing the issues. A few things in the room could be attended to - TV remote and actions not working properly - could not access the digital channels and the sticky stuff holding the remote sensor fell off a number of times, dressing room poorly set out and only 6 coat hangers, A/c unable to accept individual preference - Low, Medium and High that was it. Plastic cover over the smoke detector. The main issue was last night 6 June. It would seem a planned road / rail upgrade was planned in North Terrace. All night jackhammers, etc right out front of our room. The least management could have done was forewarned guests of the work to be done. Restaurant and Federal Bar were good.
