A new "home away from home."
The place we used for years on family visits to Metro Van became unavailable. Our daughter suggested The Met. We loved it. Beautiful rooms, friendly helpful staff, a view of the river, a perfect location next to Columbia Sky Train station, and affordable rates. This will be our new "Home away from home."

A Pleasant Stay!
I am currently staying at the Met hotel as I write this review! Our house had a fire and we had to find alternative accommodations fast, and the Met hotel has been great to us. We also had to take our two cats with us, and this hotel is pet friendly! The reception staff was very courteous and friendly. The price for what you get is great. Very clean. The blankets are thick too, which is a plus for me because I hate places that give us skimpy blankets and then you're freezing in the middle of the night. I find the rooms to be quite spacious. The location is great. The hotel is located right on the main strip of New West and has a bunch of restaurants and entertainment nearby within walking distance, and it is literally right beside a Skytrain station for easy access to anywhere else you want to go. The only thing I was a bit disappointed with was that we had to pay for parking. But I don't necessarily think that is the fault of the hotel. New West is a bit crazy with their streets and parking. Overall, I really like this place, and I would definitely stay here again!

One of the nicest place I have stayed!
I am currently having the pleasure of staying at the Met Hotel in New Westminster. Tragic circumstances have brought me here and I was fortunate enough to find this hotel on line because of proximity to hospital. Coming from the states I have forgotten how nice people can be. The hotel is older, very charming and quaint, The food is fantastic in their restaurant and the hospitality, which was unexpected is incredible. Coming back from the hospital everyday to such warm caring people is helping me get through this horrible ordeal. If your coming to New West even if your not staying here come by for a warm heartfelt welcome and drink and a bite to eat. All good! And I have added general manager Melody,Michele, Jordy, Chris, Jenny and Shaun, to my new list of Canadian friends, so when your there, tell them Ron said to stop by and say hi and enjoy the wonderful experience.

Hidden gem in the Royal City!
We needed a place to stay at the last minute for one night. Found The Met online, and couldn't believe the price offered! Located on Columbia st, it's easily accessed from the new Port Mann bridge. All Front desk personnel were informative and extremely pleasant, both in person and on the phone. The room was enormous, and the beds were clean and very comfortable. Hair dryer and coffee maker were available, as well as a nice flat screen TV.We were offered a 15% coupon for meals at the adjoining restaurant, where we had breakfast the next morning. The food was very tasty!Bathroom was a tad small, but did the job, very happy with water pressure and length of hot water available.My one main complaint was that either the walls are on the thin side, or our neighbors were extremely loud talkers-was up a couple of times when they got going-but I wasn't able to determine if it was them or the walls. Overall, extremely pleased with the stay and would definitely stay here again, and recommend it for all!
