Anniversary quick getaway
My husband and I wanted to have a quick, fun little local getaway trip. We had seen the hotel on several trips to Palm Springs but never stayed. When we checked in, the service was great! We asked about hiking and they gave us several local maps with great trails. The night market was going on and they told us which vendor was really good to go to for some late night eats. We made the happy hour at the bar with a local band. Super fun! The room service was really good and super accomodating. The only thing that was not right was that the room service menu was outdated as they had just updated thier restaurant since the food is local. They sent someone to our room with a new menu and then again when we ordered. Nothing was too much or a bother for the service staff.

Cool vibe
First glance at the hotel from the road I was a little bit scared and thought oh [--] did I make a mistake and book a cheap motel??!! But after checking in, seeing the room and pool area... I was immediately liking the feel of the place. The pool area was perfect for relaxing, laying out, having a beer or margarita and listening to music. The rooms had a nice theme along with a nice assortment of drinks/alcohol and snacks. We were here during the week, so we were lucky enough that there weren't any kids around...

Good hotel if you want to bring your dog
Decent hotel. We like to stay here because its dog friendly. We always get a room with a patio so the dog has his space. 2 pools, 1 is more of the party pool. The other is mellow but not open on Saturdays because of weddings taking place. The lobby service is fine, the pool service can be selective but is ok

Under delivers - style over substance
We asked time and again if this hotel would be ok with kids (one 3-year-old and one 11 month old). Yes, they said. But they must have been joking. We were originally put in a room overlooking the pool, but told on arrival it wasn't suitable due to the noise. So they put us in a room overlooking the small pool, where they were holding consecutive open air evening weddings. We suggested upgrading rooms, but were told those rooms wouldn't accommodate our 3-year-old. There was no tub, and no plug for the sink, so baby had to be washed in the shower - very tricky with a slippery sunscreen covered baby. No kettle, washing up liquid, microwave or bottle warmer (were we supposed to bring these from England?) - wouldn't have been a problem but the staff were VERY reluctant to even rinse our bottles and fill them with water. If it's such a problem, surely they can give us the equipment to do it ourselves? Especially since there are lots of families here. Room wasn't overly clean - the curtains were stained, the bathroom smelt, and the room was tiny. this was supposed to be a king lounge. We've travelled everywhere with kids - even Vietnam, but this was really disappointing. The only real upside - the other visitors were just lovely.

Poor Service, Terrible Time
I had one of my worst experiences with the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs. My friend who had been staying at the hotel had left my Coachella Wristband with the reception team to pass on to me (bearing in mind these are $350 wristbands, I had spent $600 on flights and $250 on hiring a car to get to the festival. I detoured to palm springs specifically to collect the wristband which my friend said she had left in an envelope clearly marked with my name, her name and the date it was left. She text me at the time saying 'just left it with reception :-)'.I arrived at the hotel to be told they did not have it. To say they seemed unconcerned is an understatement and was treated as if I wasn't telling the truth and that it must have not been left. Our camping passes were included in this envelope so the fact it had gone missing meant not only did we miss the first day of the festival with a massive lineup, we also had no where to sleep that night. We repeatedly phoned and drove back to palm springs to see if anything had been found only to be told that no, it was almost certainly never left with them. It just seemed like they were uninterested and did not care that we had nowhere to go in a country we weren't familiar in.After sleeping in the car we went for coffee in the restaurant which the waiter kindly gave us on the house, the reception team had changed and Melissa (the new receptionist) who seemed genuinely concerned that it could not be found tore the place apart and eventually came into the canteen with an envelope as described with my wristband and camping pass inside. It had been misplaced by someone on reception and put under the cigarette counter.I cannot believe the disregard we were treated with, after the money I had spent to make it there. I work in film/television production and it is my job to source hotels for our cast and crew, if I ever thought anyone would be treated like this by a hotel I had booked I would be appalled and certainly never use them again.With the exception of Melissa, the staff and security at the hotel were rude and unhelpful.
