My family and I have been coming here for years, (in fact we started coming in the 60's when they had Sambo's in the front with the absolutely the best ever pancakes. But that was another time.I love this place. We (my family) love this place, It's fun, it has great beds and linens, a killer pool with tiki lights around pool, and the staff is really cool, but today my review is about a stellar employee named Trey. We came in late tonight, and had the great good luck of having this lovely, smart and humble gentle giant greet us. Trey is the very best representation of a small hotel, because he is so kind and welcoming. I can't say enough about him. The Tropics did well in hiring him,. My Mom is going through chemo, and he went out of his way to make sure she was comfortable and felt at home. I hope he's at the desk every time I check in. I like all of the staff here, but he's a step above. Another great reason to keep coming back :) :) :)

tacarra your awesome
Booked a reservation to come in last weekend and was greeted by the wonderful smile of tacarra she was awesome she gave me a free upgrade to a suite. Tacarra I will be back to the caliente tropics just you see your bright beautiful smile. The caliente tropics is a great good theme nice location bright pool chairs and really big pool. Will be back real soon thanks caliente.

Recommend Highly
This place is quirky in a great way. You see the staff everywhere, with smiling faces. Clean and spacious rooms, bathrooms small but everything was very clean and worked perfectly. Stayed in a regular room which had small refrigerator. Clean bedding, great staff, clean room, great pool, great location, and coffee in the room for the a.m. Who needs more? And the prices are among the best in town - no "resort fee" for crap amenities!

Our Third Stay
This hotel is our favorite in Palm Springs. Good south location. It has a great pool and it is very well maintained. The front desk was extremely helpful when we had to extend our stay several times. Our room was very comfortable and updated. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Staycation success
Caliente tropics made my coachella music festival experience perfect. Clean room, wonderful pool and the front desk staff was excellent. A special thanks to Trey at the front desk he made check in quick and every night when we came back to the hotel he was very nice and helpful in our drunken state. Thanks caliente and thank you Trey
