I would stay here again!
My husband and I stayed here last night during a business trip and we were happy with the hotel. Our room was large, clean, quiet, and had all the amenities we needed including a coffeemaker and free wifi. We visited the bar for a nightcap, and the bartender was very upbeat and friendly, he happily served our glasses of wine even though we ordered them right at closing time. The only negative that is definitely worth mentioning, is that during check in the young lady at the front desk was confused about pulling up our Hilton Rewards and also a little rude when she refused to get a manager to help. But we got this issue straightened out on our own when we went back later and talked to someone a little more experienced.Overall a great hotel, in a good location! Oh, and they serve free breakfast, and it's GOOD!!!

Interesting Stay... Not sure I would stay here again
Ok.. so looking over my previous reviews, I have been slightly generous. From now on, '3' (or average) will be the target rating. This hotel is just a 3, maybe a 2.GOOD: Breakfast (as always at Embassy Suites); staff and Hotel Layout. I like the atrium and hotel shape (triangle) and the bar at the center of it all.BAD: On day of check out, I had a beetle run across the bathroom floor. THEN, while in lineup to dispute a room charge, the person in front of me complained about an Ant infestation in Room 202 and 203 (as he was moved). I understand that things like that happen but regardless, it left me with an icky feeling. I find this hotel rather pricey for the value and think I could have done better in the area. I was "double" charged the $9.00 Internet fee because i Connected with my laptop AND My tablet.. not happy with that and as another said, I would rather have internet than TV. I picked this hotel to earn nights for my Gold status... not sure I will come back.My advice.. look around some more before choosing this one.

Nice and clean, friendly staff, 'meet and great' 5-7 on Saturday(s) with drinks and snacks. Great breakfast choices, free newspaper. We had a suite so husband could go this 'his room' and I could have pull out couch in sitting area.The note below asks about a Spa; never saw one.

Convenience and Courtesy
I stay at this hotel during my trips to DC. The front desk staff is always helpful and friendly, offering practical advice and willing to go the "extra step". The manager's reception is a terriffic way to unwind after travel and the shuttle is a great convenience. I will continue to recommend to friends and family.

I would rather have free WiFi than a flatscreen TV
The hotel was attractive (inside). It was clean. I would recommend it. But...Dear Hoteliers,It is 2013. With few exceptions, one guest will have a laptop, a tablet, a smart phone, and other devices which **do not work** without in-room internet access. Charging for internet access is greedy to the core. No maps to find my way around, I couldn't use Yelp to find a restaurant, I couldn't check my email. I felt cut off from the rest of the world for 2 days, and I didn't enjoy it. It was - in fact - infuriating at times. The for-pay "service" access point erased ALL of my open windows and replaced the content with their demand for more money on top of their room "rates." This is the main reason I try to stay at boutique hotels and other options. Big hotel chains are sickeningly greedy and it makes for a much less comfortable experience. Please come with your guests into the 21st Century.You could offer complimentary wifi in exchange for:mediocre breakfasthousekeepingtwo flat screen TVs in the roompool/fitness accessI'm done with chain hotels. It's not this property's fault, but I wouldn¿¿¿t come back.
