Rude personnel
The rude front desk personnel destroyed my 3 nights at Ramada Docklands. They over charged my stay, claimed that they didn't do any thing wrong and became very rude when I complained. These "Russian" girls should be sent on training! I don't know if they was trying some "trix" because when I ask to talk to the front desk manager she corrected the error! So please check your bill in this hotel when you are leaving!!!

Good hotel, but not in the city center
I stayed in standard room. It was comfortable stay. The room was rather spacy. There was not only double bed, but also couch. In the room, you could make hot beverages like hot tea and coffee. I had a airport view room. It was a advantage for me, to see traffic on London City Airport. Although airport was just behind the window, the sounds from airports didn't reach my room.There were also some cons. The A/C was loud and I couldn't turn it off. There were no safe-deposit in the room. And deposit for using safe-deposit in the desk reception was 75GBP. To get to the city center by means of public transport you need to take at first DLR and then Tube. It tooks at least about half an hour.The breakfast was very good. It is rather standard British breakfast: scrumbled eggs, beacon, etc. Beside those, you can also choose from fruits, corn flakes and sweets.Although room was nice, the room and equipment (i.e. furniture) could be refurbished.

Great size room for family of 4
Suite had 2 rooms one with a spacious lounge, sofa bed. Little kitchen and dining table. Location 5 mins to dlr.Loads of parking at the weekend.Great value ¿¿135 bb 2a 2 children.Breakfast was ample.Little touches like an early check in and children's goody bags heightened the experiance.V good reception staff.Restaurant staff and chef at breakfast attentive.Would highly recommend.I'm an ops manager in luxury hotels so used to more than 1 pillow each and softer beds. However take into account the price and it is very hard to fault this hotel.

Very comfortable
Been a few years since last review. Increase in rating reflects the fact that an upgrade to a Suite provides a very nice living area with good TV, sofa, chairs, dining table, fridge and small kitchen area as well as a separate bedroom (also with TV!). Whilst showing a few small signs of age my suite was clean and comfortable (though the mattress is a bit tired; perhaps easy put right with memory foam toppers?). Air conditioned.The hotel also does brilliantly to block out the aircraft noise of planes landing right in front of you at London City airport. Staff were attentive and friendly and food was OK. Wi-fi appears to only be free in ground floor communal areas officially; though it was picked up free with an OK signal in my 2nd floor room.5-10 minute walk to Eastern entrance of Excel, 5 minute walk from Prince Regent station on the DLR (¿¿4.50 single fare via tube and DLR from Kings Cross).

top class hotel near to airport.
Exactly what it says,top hotel,good food and very friendly. A first class visit with no issues. We even had time to take a walk around outside which is clean relaxing and just away far enough from the big city.We would recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooms are spotless well proportionedand relaxing. A night in the City by train is a short trip away. The City airport is minutes away and makes this the ideal hotel for all using the airlines.
