My family and I stayed here for two nights in the off-season (beginning of April) to celebrate my wife's accomplishment of finishing her post graduate college studies. I had booked us one of the largest suites on property and it didn't disappoint. It was only my wife, 15 month old daughter and me in this huge 2 bedroom 2 bath suite and it was great. My daughter had plenty of room to run around and we gave her the 2nd bedroom where we set up the crib. She had her own room just like at home. The rest of the suite included a huge bar area with full size refrigerator, microwave, sink, coffee maker and dishes/glasses/silverware. A master bathroom situated between the two bedrooms and a half bath located off the living room area. The living room and the master bedroom each had connecting balconies with fantastic views of Lake George and the hotel pool and recreation areas. I went into this hotel knowing how old it was and knowing that not all hotels age very well. This resort has not only improved over time but the staff and management has taken pride in their property and kept it up tremendously well. Everything was clean and well maintained, the common areas which are very abundant throughout the hotel are also meticulously attended to. We stayed on the 3rd floor which is ALL lake view balconies. As if our suite couldn't get any larger, there was a connecting door leading to the suite next door (Suite 315 & 317 respectively). If any organization is looking for a fantastic hospitality suite, these two rooms could accommodate alot of people comfortably. Overall, as far as the property and accommodations go this is the most well maintained Holiday Inn Resort for it's age. I don't believe the brand new Holiday Inns have as much character and not built like this resort was.As far as the food and other amenities, all excellent. We ate at the dining room and also had room service - both didn't disappoint. I was able to upgrade to a romance package a few days before arrival that included: champagne on arrival, 2 drinks at the bar, dinner for two, one breakfast for two and a late checkout. That was in addition to the standard offerings of fresh baked cookies at the front desk, free bottled water in your room and a 24 hour gift/snack shop in the lobby. The indoor heated pool was very nice w/ a waterfall at one end and a classic game room at the other. There is also an outdoor pool in season and a year round hot tub outside. The children's room located near the pool is also a nice perk for families traveling with small children. Those families also have the option of reserving the suite that includes a separate suite just for kids located inside the room. The management here has really thought of nearly everything a guest could want or wish for. The only thing missing was a valet and bell service to assist with luggage. I'm not quite sure if that's only available in season or they just don't have it, either way I was tending to my own luggage with the provided luggage carts. The general manager and I believe the owners of the property were very visible throughout the stay and it's obvious that even in the off season they are right on top of everything - and it shows!!! Please note: In peak season, with a completely full hotel things might be a little more expensive and crowded, but definitely worth the price. This award winning hotel resort is definitely a gem among all other resorts in the Intercontinental hotel chain.

Enjoyed the weekend. Great staff, very friendly! Very accommodating. There was a 10 year old birthday party in room next to us so they upgraded us to a suite. Hotel restaurant and bar were very good. Food was delicious, staff was great .

We had our annual fire company banquet at the Holiday Inn this year after several years at the same venue. The food was outstanding, the banquet staff (especially Wendy, Jim, and his partner at the bar) was extremely friendly and personable, and the space was perfect. It was the perfect change of scenery for the banquet. Wendy went above and beyond--driving one of our elder guest's vehicles right to the front door so he wouldn't have to walk the parking lot. I have heard nothing but great feed back from the fire department members, their spouses, and the ladies' auxiliary. Mandy made the entire planning process easy and everything was set up just how we wanted for the banquet with no issues.My husband, our 8 month old, and I stayed the night in a Jacuzzi Suite. The room was in a great location, very clean, and quiet. We really enjoyed our stay. The front desk staff was extremely professional and polite. Great job to all of the staff at the Holiday Inn!

We recently stayed a this hotel for a quick weekend getaway from our home in South Central Ontario. The staff were friendly, resort itself was nice and very conveniently located. I could have used a nicer view, I got the impression when looking at the website that I had booked a room with a balcony but apparently I actually booked a room with a window that faced a brick wall. It was only for one night so I didn't bother asking to be moved. The indoor pool looks way bigger in the pictures that it actually is so we didn't bother using that. As always with Holiday Inn the bed was great. A bonus was the breakfast that was inclouded in the package we booked, the food was great and all the restaurant staff were really nice. I would stay here again if we return to the area, maybe just in a better room.

Went here to meet the owner of Adirondack Pedal Cabs. Hotel was amazing from the moment I stepped into the lobby, clean, classy, and amazing staff. Especially liked the "towel animal" on our bed that greeted us when we entered the room, another example of the staff's attention to detail. Thanks for a great time! we WILL be back!
