Not what I expected
This is my first review and it was give because I want to warn other travelers of this hotel.. This place needs a renovation. The hotel is outdated. They need to invest in flat screen TV's as well as a paint job. The wall paper was peeling of the wall. Also it was a slight bug problem. It was a reasonably price hotel but I have been to other reasonably price place but it was a much better experience. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone

disappointing
we were there for one night in Jan 2013. We had stayed 3 nights in an Ayres property just before and were surprised at how shabby the Wave was for the same money. The remote didn't work for the ancient TV , there were tiles missing out of the floor in the bathroom. Lighting was poor and my kids didn't want to swim in the pool because it was noticeably dirty.I asked the guy at the desk and he said he would call maintenance. Nobody vacuumed the pool.kind of third world...

Pleasantly Surprised....
The hotel's decor is outdated in its look however it is in good condition. Rooms were large, clean. You have a small fridge. Near Target, within walking distance to Manhattan beach and other hot spots. Very easy secure parking on-site. My friend stayed at Shade Hotel and paid $300.00. I paid $80.00. As we travel for business and not for pleasure, I don't feel I lost out on anything special by staying at the Wave and would recommend it and return.

Cheap for Manhattan Beach
English persons walking distance from the beach. Cheap compared to other hotels around but the room was dark and the floor was dirty. Despite this, it was fine for road tripping down the coast and only staying one night.

nothing works!!
Stayed 3 nights in Jan 2013. Door key card system did not work and staff just lied about it.....very aggravating. Washer and dryer did not work. Toaster in breakfast room has not worked for over a year. The mgmt is too bloody cheap to make this place work and is just letting it run into the ground. Can only get worse.
