Last weekend 5/11/13, my husband and I attended a wonderful event at The Palmdale HotelThe staff was very helpful. The venue was fabulous for a wedding reception with a backdrop of the mountains. No ironing boards(which I don't care about because I hate ironing anyway)The buffet breakfast provided was suitable for my husband. Overall, it was an excellent choiceJola

Great for Truckers
Advertised as a No Smoking Hotel, below us on the garden patio was the biggest ashtray you could see, full of cig butts. Walls in bathroom were full of cracks. Staff at front desk were bored and would rather talk to friends in Spanish. Right next to freeway, perfect for tired truckers who only want a bed and a shower. Didn't feel safe and although an AA rating I would give it a DD. Didn't stop for the free breakfast, as the night before it had offered a blast from the past local dance hall.Beware hotels that are open for entertaiment for public use. Not for single women.Definately not for children. Huge Pool that was not open, (wouldn't swim in it anyway) lots of birds which was a good sign. Good hotel for homeless folks who need a break and to help look after it, and prosper with a roof over their heads.

Great Service
We had a family get together in Palmdale to celebrate my Dad's 75th birthday, and we all stayed at The Palmdale Hotel (40+ family members). We experienced great service, from the front desk staff, to the hotel cleaning staff to the service received at our delicious dinner in one of the banquet rooms. We would definitely have another family reunion/celebration at The Palmdale Motel!

Wouldnt stay again....
Way too expensive for what it is... No ironing boards in rooms, cracked peeling ceiling in bathroom, phones in room didnt work and they wouldn't fix... Girl at front was really nice but would not recommend staying there.

Very comfy beds!
The super great about this hotel, the beds are very comfy! The room is pretty nice, but the carpet probably needs replaced or deep cleaned. The bathroom is ok but the towels were great. Coffee maker and mini fridge in room is very nice to have.The lobby is plain and the hallways are weird, you go through hallways to get everywhere and I think everything in the common areas could use an update. One elevator was out of order, the jacuzzi was out of order. The pool looked really nice but we didn't get the chance to use it. The workout room was small with just 3 cardio machines that were older, but again no chance to use it. The breakfast is adequate, buffet style and free. They were really busy but there was plenty of food and the wait staff was very nice. Front desk staff also very nice and plenty of parking with easy freeway access.
