Even if you don't gamble, the restaurants, spa, and the 6th floor water park are great reasons to stay at the Golden Nugget. Although in the Marina district of AC, rather than on the boardwalk, the Golden' Nugget's rooms have gorgeous views--we were fortunate to get a bay view for only $48/night during the week. I loved our stay here--hated to leave. Huge casino, table games, poker room ( where my husband won $1000 on his last night!). Guest rooms are spotless and very comfortable with a very large flat screen TV. Shower is luxurious! We loved the Golden Nugget in Vegas, and decided to give this one a try. We're glad we did.

In the 28+ years this property existed as both the ¿¿¿Castle¿¿¿ and the ¿¿¿Marina¿¿¿ Trump brands, I had never stayed here. Played there infrequently as well, predominantly because it was one of only a couple options on the marina for the longest time--- Harrah¿¿¿s was originally its only shipmate on the waterfront for many years until Borgata arrived--- and because it seemed to cater to the NY slot crowd from the down-for-the-day-bus-junkits¿¿¿..so I was curious to see what the purported $150M in renovations Landry put in last year did to the place.....I describe the vibe as ¿¿¿Kitschy Cool¿¿¿ to suggest a ¿¿¿Sunset Strip meets Doubletree¿¿¿ feel¿¿¿.but overall it works for what is a compact-to-navigate casino with the usual diversions, services, and common areas. On the plus side, the rooms are spacious and likely rate as one of the best AC casino-hotel values at a week-nite tariff of $69. I estimate 300 sf, with newer furnishings, fixtures, and accoutrements. There is a coffee maker, private safe, and larger reefer in the cabinet¿¿¿..plus ample dresser storage, closet space, power outlets, and counter surfaces¿¿¿..Accent Chair and desk area too.The bathroom carve-out is smaller standard, but works hard to pull-off posh with trendy vessel sink, a ¿¿ French glass for the tub/shower, and upgraded pedestal vanity¿¿¿all of which IMHO would be better suited with a traditional ¿¿¿double-bowl¿¿¿ cabinet layout and a stall shower for the space. There is also no exhaust fan for ventilation, but as other reviewers have written, you won¿¿¿t close the over-done-glass bathroom pocket door anyways. The functionality would also benefit from a separate nite-light or dimmer control for the higher intensity vanity lights. I did notice there was a second switch on the wall, presumably for another ceiling light fixture, but it was inoperable. The rest of the noteworthy comments have trade-offs within every respect¿¿¿..bedding and linens were above standard but pillows were not; Intra-Coastal and City Views from the room were great but windows were secured shut (fresh sea-air would help what is a musty smell in the room); and the 42¿¿¿ flat screen was nice but had limited channel selection (no COMCAST Sports is simply untenable for this area). HVAC was quiet but unremarkable in performance¿¿¿.room cleanliness and housekeeping were adequate, room-service was very quick and reasonable, albeit food quality (breakfast) was just average. Also, $12.95 PER DAY for WiFI is gouging so bring your aircard. And yes, as other reviewers have written, you can here adjoining room noise and plumbing flows through the walls....so if you are a light sleeper or a rare early-to-bed person in this town, you will find this rather obtrusive.The property now has a newly opened rave nightclub (Haven), a couple inside bars, one with live entertainment, high-end steakhouse, a sushi-noodle bar, Italian Grotto, and a coffee shop called the Brasserie. We only ate there and it was good¿¿¿..TIP1: Asian Chicken Salad and French Dip Sandwich are solid bets.Dealers and other personnel that engaged us were all very polite and efficient. Front desk check-in was extraordinarily quick and at prime-time (5PM) on a Saturday too. I¿¿¿m told the real draw for this place is the 16 KSF Entertainment Deck and Pool Areas. As it was early June, the buzz was limited to Saturday and Sunday only across our four nite stay¿¿¿.but it is definitely the premier attraction for this locale and beginning to forge a ¿¿¿locals¿¿¿ following with nearby residents.BL- Grading on the usual AC curve, Borgata and Caesars are still a notch better, and a better choice at the right price point. BUT Golden Nugget should give the others a run for their money, especially Harrah¿¿¿s. That said, I do NOT recommend a stay for families (no boardwalk nor kids attractions nearby and night-time revelers can be edgey)¿¿¿..nor folks who are not familiar driving around the area (you must take the intra-coastal

I went to the spa also and it was great, I really looking forward to come back and have a wonderful time. summer is the best at golden nugget

I had the opportunity to visit the spa at the Golden Nugget last weekend. I booked the relaxation massage. Jessica was my masseuse, and she did a wonderful job. I was thoroughly relaxed by the time my massage was finished, but it didn't end there, because I used the steam room, sauna and hot tub. I felt like I never wanted to leave! I loved the amenities that the spa provided to shower and change afterwards, and the decor made for a very relaxing atmosphere. I've visited the spas at the Borgata and The Water Club, and it was always over-booked and too crowded, and it wasn't the kind of relaxing experience you would expect from a spa. The Salon and Spa at the Golden Nugget is a definite winner, and I will definitely return!

Excellent Hotel located right next to Marina, my room had a beautiful view, I believe all rooms have a view. Clean clean clean rooms, swimming pool, easy parking, fridge, good mattress, only drawback was $12 fee for internet, everything else was perfect.
