Oh no Zoso!
They gave up! This hotel has been sold and will SPO become a HardRock Hotel...and I can't wait! Hotel Zoso is located on prime Palm Springs property. Central to down town and walking distance to everything! Sadly, our stay was at the end of its life as Zoso....the maintenance team must have given up long ago! Everything was dirty or broken. The pool is too small and in a town where temperatures can reach 100+ they need 1) a bigger pool 2) more water misters and 3) better pool/bar staff/service. Rooms are in dire need of an upgrade, corridors need painting. Service was sub-par. The front desk was the only place that shined! Although several of the staff was obviously new, they were friendly and tried to be helpful. Bottom line: stay away until they re-open as a Hard Rock Hotel! I hear they are going to remake the whole pool area! And the architect's renderings of what is to come look awesome! I will be back....

No complaints, great massage.
We stayed here for a bachelorette party and it had everything we needed. In Vegas I'd give it three stars for a comparable weekend but in Palm Springs it did the job. The rooms were nice and clean and we had a great view of the pool and mountainscape. The pool itself was on the small side, but fine for lounging. We reserved a small cabana for 11 girls and it was a bit lacking in terms of music and party scene, but then again it's not a huge party spot. We still had fun. The shuttle drivers, pool attendant, and front desk people were all friendly and helpful. I went to the spa on the last day and had a great deep tissue massage from Veronica, who helped me recover from the past two days. The property itself is pretty cool, and I imagine when the Hard Rock takeover is complete it will be a little more lively. All in all, it worked for us!

A Favorite getaway
This is and has been a favorite place to stay in Palm Springs. Hopefully when taken over by "Hard Rock" this year the cost of staying won't change too much. The only reasons for a VG instead of excellent are that the pool could be a little warmer and surfaces around the pool need to be repaired or replaced. All Other aspects are excellent.

Very comfortable stay
Going by some of the reviews I was pleasantly surprised at how nice our room was, very modern and nicely decorated, certainly not in need of a refurb. The whole place seemed better than some of the reviews suggest cannot speak for the pool area though). Our city view room also had a pretty great view.The location is great with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance.Staff, particularly the valets very terrific and I'd have no issues recommending the hotel based on our very pleasant stay.

The so-so Zoso now to be The Hardrock
Checked out this hotel while staying in Palm Springs - yes so-so reviews. Overpriced, VERY small pool for this size of mod style complex. Location is good being down town but there are so many hotels just a block away that are better. This fall, the hotel will be revamped in musicland style and opened as one of the Hard Rock chain, probably to attract the L.A. youngsters with plenty of cash to part with. I hope the refurb will be better than the current set up or the new trendy set are not going to approve!.
