Really didn't like staying at this hotel at all. Soon as I arrived and realised that the receptionist was wearing jeans I did wonder!! The hotel was very bland with no character. The rooms were designed to lool modern but just looked stark and cheap. First off no air con and put in a room opposite the lifts - like immediately in front of the lifts so I could imagine how much sleep I would get ... then the wi fi does not work at all. Get the room changed but still the air con does not work .. then finally they admit that actually they don't turn it on till the end of April ... Spend HOURS trying to get the wi fi to work - I am on business and NEED to work. Their IT contact is - on holiday. After 3 hours I give up. By this time the restuarant is closed for lunch and they don't do room service. spend more time trying to get wi fi to work - it always works for me in Europe so not sure why not in this hotel. Ask my IT who say its them. Ask them to reboot and they refuse. Funny enough it was working the next morning.Dinner was terrible. I ordered a chicken ceaser salad and got dry iceburg lettuce, a few slithers of carrot and basically chicken nuggets on top! The restaurant is not run by the hotel so you can't put the cost on your bill - also alot of locals use it at lunchtime so you may find you can't get a table. A woman screaming, banging her room door and then running up and down the corridor (still screaming) at 4.30am added to my decision never to return! I did woner if she was actually being murdered at one point but then realised that she was just drunk. No hotel security or hotel staff appeared to sort it out despite the fact that this went on for well over half an hour.The bed was comfortable and the room clean if bare and basic. Breakfast was basic - a few hot dishes but mainly continental.

I was in this hotel for one night in January with my friend. We got a room which was connected with another room through double closed doors. Unfortunately in another room there was a dog, which was barking for couple of hours. It was funny at the beginning but later it was really annoying. Apart from that point, room was quite nice. In the price of a hotel there was a breakfast included ( which BTW was really delicious). Hotel is situated about 10 mins bus ride from closest metro station. You have to be prepared to pay some local tax for your stay.

My room was much noisy, in front of the street and window not well isolated. I could feel wind blowing inside. The staff was very gently trying to find another room but the new one I got was not better. Overal disappointing, especially as this hotel is not within town center. Breakfast choice large and good

I stayed at this property for 1 day last week and had several unpleasant surprises so there is no way I would recommend this property.1) The restaurant is a separate company, and won't take AMEX which is what my company requires us to use so I was out of pocket.2) The hot water doesn't come on until about 0530AM so taking a shower at 0500 was EXTREMELY unpleasant.3) The hallways are unlighted until you get ¿¿ way down them and a motion detector senses you, so enjoy walking around in the dark. Females should be particularly wary!4) Having only 1 elevator for an 8 storey building is WRONG, and staff didn't seem bothered about it being up to 5 min wait to get up/down in the building.But the coup de gras was at checkout, where I was handed a bill ONLY for incidentals. It turns out that hidden behind their website is Expedia, so they won't give you a bill showing your room charges. I had a 5 minute argument with the front desk staff to finally get them to produce a bill I hope will pass our expense reporting folks.This hotel is very mid-market at best, and needs serious attention.

I stayed at the Idea Hotel in Lorenteggio for 2 nights in March 2013. This used to be a Holiday Inn and Ok but is looking very tired now. The hotel is wearing out and this causes problems - dripping toilet, no heating adjusment (unless you count opening the window) and very worn carpets and furniture.Only stay if being in Lorenteggio is important for you.
