Pokey but charming
We stayed at the Timhotel about a week ago. It is small and pokey but the staff are friendly and helpful (definitely more so than we have previously experienced in Paris), the rooms are small but relatively comfortable, and the breakfasts are quite good.The location is interesting as it has good access to the metro and a range of places of interest within walking distance, however due to its proximity to a major station and the demographic, it is in a small pocket of what can only be described as Bohemian. That being said, the bohemianism only seems to have an influence of around 100m street which there are some lovely areas.

Remodeled & adorable
I just returned we were a group of 15 stayed in this charming just remodeled gem. My room was beautiful I had a balcony ' spa kit in my bathroom Robe & slippers too! The staff were friendly & helpful small elevator but a charming spiral staircase was also available. I would stay again it's close to everything has a breakfast room with great croissants & pastries (eggs not good) but I think overall it was very nice

Not good
Pros:Comfortable bed and complementary coffee and tea in the room.Cons:For those who are used to 4 star hotels should not expect the same conditions you have on a 4 star hotels:The room is miniscule as well as the bathroom. The shower is so small that the curtain will stick to your body when inside the shower.The heat on the room would only work in the maximum, so either you'll be cold or sweating.We stayed for 2 nights and in the second day, a stinky smell of sewer started to invade the room coming from the bathroom. We called the reception and requested to change us to another room but it was not possible as the hotel was full. We had to put towels on the shower and sink drain, in order to stop that smell.On a late morning we left the room and the tiny corridor that leads us to the elevator was packed with dirty towels, sheets, detergents, etc. It was even difficult for us to walk without touching those things. I never saw a total lack of care about presentation and hygiene in a hotel. If you want to avoid this disgusting view please leave your room before 11 am.Overall it was my worst experience in a hotel.

Great location, but only if you don't plan to spend time in your room
A colleague had put me in this hotel because of its proximity to Gare St Lazare, which is an easy walk away. It is near to several metro station, and I think Europe is the closest probably being less than the traditional 100M.Don't judge a book by the cover operates here, and whilst the reception looks promising, and the location is very convenient, this place distills the love affair that Parisian Hoteliers have with their minimalist approach to guest comfort. It is described as four star, but barely ranks three on my ratings. I was placed in a room in an annex which had to be reached by walking down passage ways and then walking across the breakfast room, up in a lift which barely held me and my wheelie case. My double room was small. It had one wardrobe and some hanging space. There was a kettle for drinks, but it was positioned so high up that it would be impossible for anyone under 170cms to reach. There was no stowage place in the bathroom, and nowhere to work. The television had one English language channel with no sound. The room had not been cleaned effectively from the previous occupant, and their detritus remained in the bins. I dropped a book, I know not where, and it was not found again.On the positive side, there is free wifi (not the best) and a computer and printer for use in the reception. There is a 'rich' breakfast buffet available (by local standards) for 15Euros extra. The breakfast was ample, but in France, I would have expected to have something better than pre-pack cheese. The coffee was good and strong. Staff were actuallly very helpful and friendly, and for a cold January day/night the room was cosily warm. A room at the back cost 115Euros. If you just want somewhere to rest your head, this will do, and is convenient, but it has little else to offer. It has no shortage of takers.

Decent accomodation
Accomodation was nice and clean. Rooms are small and clean but adequate if you'r really just looking for a place to rest in the evening. Close to Europe subway station as well as St Lazare train station. Breakfasts were really good, throughly enjoyed them
