Value for money
We booked the hotel at the last minute and randomly. The hotel is rated 3 1/2 stars which is fair enough given a few hotels I have stayed at in Europe with a 4-star rating. I would say we had a good deal since we had a reduced rate. Were the rate usual, I would be indifferent. (I actually booked a different totel for DC but since we had a change of sked had to cancel the booking.)

Third stay in 4 months
This is our third stay in four months at the St Gregory Hotel and Suites.. We love our stays there, The staff goes out of their way to help. The Suites are clean, and very functional. The location is great. The brunch is awesome. Our stays are usually one or two nights only, but we have not been disappointed yet.

I wanted to love it but...
more than half the days I was there there were discarded room service trays in the hallways for hours at a time. Coming back to someone else's breakfast sitting outside your common hallway area at dinnertime is less than appealing. The worst part about this is that the last time I stayed there I mentioned this to them upon checkout. Less than a month later the same thing was still happening. I also would have appreciated a warning that window cleaners were coming. Rude wake up call when a strange man is peering in your window as you're getting out of bed. I chose not to dine or drink at the hotel's bar or restaurant. The staff seemed less than friendly towards a 20-something single traveler compared to the larger groups or men in suits.The food menu for room service was also nothing special. I ate out around the neighborhood or brought back take out from great little places nearby everyday. The front desk staff were also a little rough around the edges and were a little perturbed when I had to have them reprogram my room cards after going through a metal detector. It's DC guys, it's bound to happen. I also nearly lost a stare down contest with the night desk clerk who was clearly irritated when I came down from my room to ask for a set of silverware and 35mins later was finally brought one. Pros: room was cleaned well, large bathrooms, good location. Overall, it was a fine but I doubt I would choose this hotel for a personal trip.

This hotel charges separately for internet for every device
I liked the room but I was there for business and had different devices. They charged me for every one, this is a scam. I have stayed in this hotel before but never again. The food was so so and expensive. This was a business trip and have several devices. I own a hotel and we are proud to give our guests free internet.

Indented mattress
For the price, I expected much better! Location is good, but the room was disappointing. Our "suite", which is actually a studio had a lovely view of the dumpsters. We listened to the staff dumping glass into the containers during the night. Upon entry, I noticed a lamp unplugged. That's because you can't turn it off. Their solution is to just unplug it instead of fixing or replacing it. The bed covers are old and nubbly. I woke up to find my kids almost on top of each other in bed because the mattress is indented in the middle. The walls are very thin and we could hear people on all sides, as well as other guests slamming doors all night. I would never recommend this place to anyone because you will definitely not get your money's worth.
