High quality hotel, yet missing service normally found
Very clean hotel, reasonable price, great location...the service is where I had a spot of trouble. Given my level with Hilton, we were on the Executive floor with Lounge access. Awful setup and service and the offerings were rather pitiful. Also - warning - wine/beer/alcohols are all a charge - minimum of $5 for the beer and goes up from there. Save yourself the trouble and head to a local bar for a real drink for a couple bucks more. This was ridiculous. I have traveled to Hiltons all over the world, and the lounges are really much better equipped and have polite people working there as well. We had a lady practically bark at us that she was not done with her setup- despite it being past the hour that the lounge was "open". Another irritation - the lounge was not open for soft drinks, coffee, tea or water all the time. We came in after dinner hoping to quench our thirst with some water or tea, only to find nothing available. We called the front desk for assistance and they told us to call for carryout from another establishment. Deplorable...to add insult to injury, we were charged about $1.40 to make the local call to the other establishment to get the drinks. Honestly - I spent well over an hour just trying to track down something non-alcoholic to drink. If you are going to spotlight this "perk" and make it extremely prominent during check-in that I have been given something special due to my patronage - then at least make it a true perk with some friendly staff running it. We tried to make breakfast and by the time we were down it was torn apart, the cheeses were curling and sweaty, the fruits looked old and the breads were few and far between and set all askew as if people had rummaged through every single one of them. Needless to say, we left and went to another establishment for food.

Great Hotel, but front door is hard to find!
This was a great hotel with a great location, however it was very difficult to find the front entrance to the hotel. Make sure you find out where the front door is before you leave for the evening. The rooms were comfortable and cozy, and the beds were great. I would rate this a perfect 10 if not for the front door debacle!

Would Stay here Again!
We drive to Minneapolis at least once a year to go to either a Twins or Vikings game. This trip we were able to get tickets to both! We decided to stay at The Marquette because it was close and reasonably priced. It turned out GREAT, the room was clean and nicely furnished. There is a small mall right off the lobby of this hotel which was nice to buy some snacks and do some shopping. I would definitley recommend this place to anyone going to a sporting game. I did not have much interaction with any of the staff so i can not really comment on that. The only down fall was they did not have a pool or hot tub so if you have kids probably not the place for them.

Amazing Stay at The Marquette
The team at the Marquette is amazing. They took such good care of my family during our visit. They also found my daughters 2 lost sock monkeys and sent them to her with the most amazing slideshow. I have never seen a team go so far to please their guests. I cannot recommend a hotel more.

Close to the ballpark, great hotel service
Carlyle, thank you very much for your kind service. We choose to stay at the Marquette because it was well priced for a downtown hotel and it was close to the ballpark. We had a number of small requests that were met so quickly, I barely had time to pull out my tips! Also, room maintenance showed up at our room to fix a minor problem with the toilet, when I didn't even know there was an issue. The maid had alerted maintenance during her room service. That is amazing. Contrary to other reviewers, we found the front desk more than helpful. Two things that could be improved. 1. The bar service was overwhelmed and there was no beer on tap. 2. Bus noise. Ask for a room that doesn't sit on Marquette street. It can get intense during the week.
