Very nice accomodation
We stayed here during a recent trip to Melbourne, We rented a King Room which was very well equiped. Nice furnishing, spa bath, large king size beds with beautiful linen. The room was large and despite being close to the highway was very quiet. I think the road facing windows were double glazed. The owners were very helpul and recommended a great local restuarant. There was free Wi Fi which was adverstised as being "Limited"" Not exactly sure what that meant except that we could only have one device logged on at a time which was a nuisance.

We stayed here overnight and were pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious,clean, the bed comfy with a verandah overlooking the Lake and within walking distance to the CBD restaurants and beach The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. We would happily stay there againJanelle M

Ideal Location
Stayed here recently over Easter. Rooms are spacious and we had a lovely balcony with water views. Some parts need an update - carpet and bathrooms in particular. Quiet motel in an ideal location in Merimbula.

Very clean, good location, great staff, lovely motel.
One of the cleanest, best presented motels we have stayed in. Steve and Peta were the welcoming and very helpful owners. Rooms were all spotless, very well maintained and comfortable. Layout of rooms our group had was great with double bed with bathroom and then a corridor with small kitchenette leading to lounge area with a single bed and balcony. As there were 2 very young babies in our group these slightly separated areas for sleeping was much appreciated by the parents.Everything worked, kitchenette wasbwell equipped for snacks, incl. microwave. Bathroom smallish but perfectly formed and more than adequate and so clean. Did I mention how clean this place is, even the individual balconies with tables and chairs were spotlessly presented. Pool area, which can be the downfall with some motels was A1 at the Sapphire Waters.Parking is good, in front of rooms mostly. No issues with street noise though our rooms faced the road.Very convenient to shops, cafes and clubs, and with a little more walking the beautiful waterside.

Just ok
I booked one night at this hotel using their website. I posed a question about how to find the hotel from the bus stop and received no answer. Upon arriving, the reception was closed and all the details were left in the letterbox. That was not a problem but being told the reception was not going to be open when I arrived would have been nice as it was quite dark and I was unfamiliar with the hotel.The room was as per the photos though the bathroom was in need of renovation with chipped tiles and a toilet roll holder like you would find in a public toilet. The room was non-smoking but heavily perfumed to hide previous smoking guests, again some renovation work would go a long way to improve the quality of the space.For the price paid, I would shop around and find another hotel that was updated before choosing this one again. Whilst everything was clean, it could be improved with some renovation work/updating.
