Convenient by pricey
We had a pleasant experience for our short stay at the Waldorf Apartments, but we found it a bit pricey for what they offer. If their prices and deals offered more value for money, then it would be an above average accommodation. For example: We didn't even try the $6 breakfast deal announced everywhere, as it was like having it in your own kitchen, totally ignoring the excellent surroundings and possible views from the hotel. We wouldn't have minded a $10 deal in a better dining set. But spacious, clean and relaxing. The plus is that you can park your car in the same floor level of your hotel room! priceless....

Convenient and spacious, staff very helpful
Had a quick one night stop-over, not knowing what to expect and was pleasantly surprised and also writing this as part-time resident at The Entrance. Staff greeted me by name on arrival (not sure how they knew, as looked like something the cat dragged in and were really helpful). My studio was enormous with everything and more and I felt it was wasted on me. I had of course read previous reviews... my apartment was spotless, and whilst the common areas a little tired, I thought it terrific value (light breakfast included) and so convenient to everywhere, so one must balance all of that. Breakfast was a total hoot - the Maitre d seemed to know everyone, the breakfast room was PACKED (they were turning people away) and I worked out later that not only guests visit, but outsiders.... for $6.00 for enormous brekkie one can certainly not complain. Unlike many places, Waldorf will take a one night booking (not sure if this is so over high season). In sum, I was perfectly comfortable, slept like a lamb. A bit of noise coming from next door neighbours, until I realised they had about 5 kids in there, again, not any fault of the hotel. Parking (secure) included, and general security very good (two sets of cards provided for different use e.g. elevator, car park, front door, room door, so take both with you at all times - as this writer also learnt.. the hard way!!!). Next hint: if you have loads of gear to take, try to have a room on 3rd floor which has direct access to car park.

Spacious apartment, poorly cleaned
Traveled as two couples and booked a 2 bedroom apartment, nice and big, plenty of room and big balcony. Unfortunately we found the second bedroom to be very poorly cleaned.Turned one of the bedspreads over to see a half metre urine stain on the white underside, deciding to put that to one side just in case, we got the spare blankets out which had a pair of dirty used underwear between them. Upon inspecting the spare blankets one had some dried phelgmy blood on it and the other had 2 other dirty/streaky marks. We checked in late so there wasn't really much we could do. Overall this tainted our stay, we understand things can be missed but it really was quite disgusting.Pro's: Good location-near the water and pub, spacious room and balcony, free light continental breakfast offeredCon's: poorly cleaned, some furniture broken, second bedrooms window needs some curtains over blinds to shut out light properly, breakfast area very unappealing

Reasonable
Great location near the bridge ,pub ,restaurants etc .Rooms are a bit tired and could do with a refurbish but all in all not too bad.Free breakfast was adequate.Overall probably not the best place to stay at The Entrance but for the money it did the job

AWFUL DIRTY
Bathroom floor dirty,,shower curtain needs replacing. Poor layout, cheap and nasty furniture. Needs urgent refurbishment throughout.Expensive for what you get. Avoid this accommodation=much better value elsewhere.
