I thought the location of this hotel was ideal when I booked it. Right on the Square Emile Goudeau. it's charming during the day, very noisy at night. There is a cafe right there that goes until all hours. This might be no problem if you do not have a room in the front, like we did. There was no air conditioning that I could see, but since it was so noisy, we could not open a window. The worst was one night when several Parisian thugs decided to drink Jack Daniels (?) and gamble right under our window at 3 am. I called down to the desk, but they said they could not do anything, the police don't come when they are called. The thugs finally left at 4:30 am.This is supposed to be a 3 star hotel, but my room wasn't. The bathroom had a small shower with a curtain that did not reach the floor. Therefore, water was on the floor all the time. The door and door frame were rotted, and the carpet outside the bathroom was moldy because of this. This hotel was the most expensive I stayed in in Paris, and it was the least nice. Maybe that's how it is in Montmartre? The staff, however, was very nice and helpful. Breakfast is over priced.

I stayed in this hotel because of its location. Very central to all the nice places to visit in Montmarte.Rooms are an ok size. But the bathroom i had was soo small that it could represent a safely hazard getting in and out of the shower. Other then that. Not a bad little place.

Avoiding the wardrobe as you exit the bathroom is difficult, not banging your knees on the bed as you try to pass is even worse, get down to breakfast before 8.30 or there will be no glasses, cups,cutlery, did'nt see cheese, ham or fruit for 3 days, asking the staff was for bread or rolls was not met with a smile, don't expect a big breakfast and you won't be disappointed.

Last Saturday night a friend treated me to a night in Molin Rouge along with a few other colleagues and he booked us all in this hotel since it is very close to the cabaret . Just before stared writing this review had another glance at the hotel site and list of thing one gets with the room and was greatly surprised! It is not like that !! We arrived at the hotel just before dusk and were put into the overfellow building of the hotel and we had 4 rooms there and had to walk into the building in darkness and had a most unpleasant start .Reported it to the reception and went out to park the vehicle elsewhere since hotel messed up the booking and we faced with the full car park ! Returned after a good while and light wasn't fixed then so complained again !Went out for a drink and still no light on return ! No tea or coffee makers in the room on bottled water in fact just towels and shampoo and and tiniest soaps! On the plus side the towels and bathroom wrere clean though the shower was not so great due to lowish pressure but not disasterous.We had the luck on our side with being winter since we took some water and refreshment and tied the shopping back to the window'e security bar outside as a make shift fridge and it worked so we were ok in the end.we came back to the hotel 4 am and went to sleep and that was not so restful the noise of the lift was topped up with fire alarm going off at 0630 am ! We didn't have the breakfast at the hotel in case ended up in more disappointment !

A very good choice for a stay in Monmartre. Friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere, clean rooms with a mesmerizing view of Paris at the upper floors. The location is excellent, only a few minutes walk from Monmartre's monuments.
