Wonderful experience in Barossa
Jane and Julian are wonderful hosts. Our room was large, comfortable and well decorated. Breakfast was first class. Jane was happy to refer and book local restaurants, and each was really good. We enjoyed the whole experience. Walk around the fence line of the fifty acre farm and take in great views and sunsets.

Quiet luxury stay with great views of the countryside
We stayed at this B & B for two nights to enjoy the Barossa Valley's many wineries. The House consists of a main building in which the owners live but which also holds the dining room where breakfast is served each morning, and the enormous lounge which is available to guests all the time, and in which free WiFi is available. There are two other buildings behind and on either side of the main house, which contain the guest suites. All three buildings are located on a large hill near Chateau Yaldara, and have wonderful views over the Barossa Valley.Furnishings are in keeping with a country style and our room had a large double bed, fridge, a/c, settee and coffee table and a bathroom with bath, shower and toilet. Large fresh towels were provided every day and the normal range of guest toiletries. Complimentary chocolate fudge and sherry are a nice touch.Breakfast comprised orange juice, cereals, yoghurt and stewed fruits, toast and a cooked breakfast cooked on demand to your choice. No complaints here. Our hosts were friendly and helpful, and were happy to recommend restaurants in the nearby towns, and to make bookings on our behalf.We had a restful and quiet stay away from the bustle of the main towns in the valley, so stay here if that is what you are looking for, and you're happy to travel out at night to eat dinner elsewhere.

Barrossa Valley with Luxury!
After a long 6 hour drive it was a delight to arrive at Abbotsford, we were met by Julian who gave us a tour of the location and settled us in to our room. The room was luxurious, well positioned for the most fantastic views across the vineyards and equipped with everything one could need, one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in when away from home. Breakfast is a gourmets delight, tasty new laid eggs and wonderful locally produced meats. The coffee is pretty good too!! A perfect place to stay during a long and hectic tour through South Australia, tranquility is the word that springs to mind. Jane and Julian cannot do enough to help and their advice on places to see in the Barrossa was very helpful. The spacious lounge is perfect for relaxing and Free WiFi is available.

Good hosts, well appointed rooms, quiet spot with a good view into the valley.
Julian and Jane are great hosts and cook up a mean breakfast. They were a bit long on duck eggs when we were there but they were very tasty. The full cooked breakfast sets you up for the day...well until about 2pm anyway, and provides a good lining for the start of your wine tasting. Their advice is friendly and on the money about where to go and where to eat. I liked the touch of the chocolates and port in the room as a bit of a night cap. I did say to Julian I was disappointed not to get a better view of the vegetable patch..still can't please everyone. There is a big lounge area to sit in and read and the days papers were there each morning. All in all a good spot and I will happily go back. I would urge them to consider an offer of dinner so that we can enjoy the wines of the Barossa without having to worry about driving.

Great stay in the Barossa
We echo that the country house is in a beautiful location, great views, peaceful with wonderful hosts. The rooms are large and very comfortable. It is easy to get to and to explore the valley from. We received great eating and wine visiting info from the hosts. Coming from outside of Australia, my wife and I had great fun seeing Kangaroos from the grounds and going to and from. The breakfasts were large with enough choices. The same tomatoes that Jane serves daily cost $48 apiece in a 5 star restaurant in Sydney. Would love to come back. The place is five star because of the views, tranquility, hosts and location.
