We were up for a wedding and decided to stay at the MId City Motor Inn. A central location and the room was clean and spacious, the bathroom looked new. Staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was a bother. Breakfast was provided free one morning, it was quite small but had been included as a bonus. Ask for a quiet room, some are close to the main road.Overall a pleasant stay and not far to the wineries of the region - a quick drive and you can do a circuit.We booked direct with the hotel - was cheaper than the discount sites.

it is hard to get a room in these mining towns sometimes so beggars cant be choosers - howver the midcity has some nice room options. i have stayed in the flats down the road and also one of the spa rooms and been quite happy. expect no view. restaurant is nice but also pricey.

This is the second time we've stayed at Mid City Motor Inn, on our travels from Cooma to Tamworth over Christmas. Affordable, comfortable, clean rooms, good tv reception, nice shower, comfy beds, good A/C. We like that you can back the car right up to the door - helps when you have a 14 month old and trying to juggle luggage while keeping an eye on her! Situated on the main street of town is great, as a short stroll takes you to pubs, chinese, pizza - welcomed when all you want to do it grab a quick bite from somewhere close. We'll stay here again on our travels through Singleton.

Stayed here 2 nights to allow us full circular tour of the Hunter Valley. It's right down town but quite peaceful. Reception good. Room spotless. Comfortable new loveseat to watch tv. Beds excellent. Shower room modern, nice big sink. Wifi available for a fee (large) - if MacDonalds can provide... Rather annoying. Parked at the door. No security issues. Breakfast extra. 139 p/n a bit high. Definitely worth visiting.

I stay at this property all the time for work. It is very centrally located. Rooms are clean and generally well appointed.However, there are 2 tiny rooms (35A + something else A, one is upstairs and other is downstairs) that actually join to into another room if you opened the door. There are TINY little rooms. There is no where to sit except on the bed. The thing that really irritates me is that EVERYTIME I stay there, this woman that runs it decides that because I am a female she will put me in this tiny room because she knows a man wouldn't stand for it (plus he would be tripping over himself). If I complain she says it is because my company booked late. However, I know this BS, because sometimes my company will have another 8 people staying there (all men) and they have booked after me - we know as we compare over dinner. This is really unfair and because of it I'm not going to stay there any longer. To anyone booking a room there, make sure that you specifically ASK and confirm that you are not going to be allocated one of these tiny rooms - otherwise they will try to rip you off and allocate it to you as a double room even if you are paying full price. Seriously, if she can rip you off, she will!!I would also caution anyone about eating in the restaurant. I always get sick from it, no matter what I eat. I don't know if it is because the meals are all too creamy or its the garlic but I just can't eat here anymore.Finally, in regards to meals and room service. They do not do meals on a Sunday night or Monday morning.
