Stayed here whist attending a convention at the LA Convention Centre.The hotel itself it quite easy to get to - only a couple of turns off the freeway and about 20 minutes from the airport. The hotel is in generally good condition - no, it's not a five star hotel, but then again, you're not paying five star prices either!There is some free parking under the hotel itself, as well as a second lot across the road behind a security gate. The hotel was pretty full when I stayed, but I never had a problem getting parked. The reception staff were friendly and helpful.The room was basic, but clean and had all the amenities I would ever need, including a fridge and microwave, as well as the ubiquitous "Mr Coffee". The air conditioning wasn't working properly when I arrived and (despite reporting) wasn't fixed when I left. Having said that, I needed to open the window anyway as the room really needed airing out - I'm not sure what the previous occupant was up to, but the room smelled heavily of bleach and farts.The immediate area around the hotel isn't the nicest, but I never felt unsafe. Yes, I doubt I'd want to wander around alone at night, but then I wouldn't do this in most city centres anyway. The Spot sports bar attached to the hotel was very good (I'll review this separately), although I wouldn't call it child friendly.In short, if you are attending the LA Live or LA Convention Centre and want to save at least 60% of the cost of a downtown hotel, including free parking, give this place a whirl. You have to walk 15 minutes per day to downtown, but the savings are worth it.

My friends and I went to LA to see a concert at Shrine Auditorium and stayed here for the night. My reservation was for a room with kings bed adjoining with another room with double queens. I was upset when the lady at the reception told us there's no room available but was glad she was able to fix it right away by giving us two double queens adjoining. Bath tub is old and has a crack, wooden furnitures are likewise old with lot of marks. There's a free wifi and free parking at the garage which is great. We were expecting a continental breakfast as stated in the website but there's none. There's an on site restaurants with buffet breakfast worth 10 USD but we would rather eat somewhere than there. The only reason I choose this hotel is because of the location but in the future I would rather stay in another hotel with better customer service, free breakfast and the rest of the amenities included.

I stayed here for four days while I attended a conference at the LA convention center. The good - price/location (pretty much a straight walk down Olympic Blvd to the convention center) - really good buffet restaurant next door (Hansong). Quiet even though being in the center of LA.The bad - overall hotel is showing its age. The interior carpets look about twenty years old and the rooms themselves need to be renovated. It rained two nights while I was there and water came in via a crack in the ceiling. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I didn't use it, but the pool looked clean and there were coin operated laundry machines available if needed. If I travel back alone to this area, I would probably stay here again. If traveling with my family, I would select another hotel.

The hotel is centrally located and has what I consider necessary which is Free Parking and Free Wi-Fi.The rooms are small and kinda old but hey, You get what you pay for and It was cheap compared to other hotels in LA.I walked to the Staples Center to see a Lakers game. The neighboor isn't really safe because it's downtown in a Big City, so we always expect the place to be a little unsafe if you walk around at night.It was a good stay and I reccomend to everyone on a low budget.

Cockroaches, ants, cigarette burns all over the carpet, air conditioner incapable of cooling the room, closet door that fell off it hinges, front desk staff that couldn't get a taxi to the front door without being asked 5 times, pigeons in the hallways...I would love to talk to the folks that rated this hole "excellent". Since Ramada has not revoked this franchise there must be serious problems...
