Bought a voucher through groupon, so got excellent value, but in all honesty? even at full cost, with location and amenities, it's a good budget choice. The hotel is clean, the staff pleasent, the breakfast hearty free parking for residents (just ask for token to put in your car) Full english included (ignore note in room saying it's extra)We had a room on the first floor, spacious double with ensuite. tea, coffee facilities, fresh clean towells and warm down dovet and pillows. Shower took a bit of mastering, and there was the odd scuff on the walls, etc. But seeing as yopu are opposite the railway? I never heard a single train! (actually, pigeons woke me in the morning rather than traffic) The TV in the room froze a few times, but easily restarted. The staff where amazing. It's in a great place, right opposite the ralway, and within 5 mins walk from shopping central, and 20 mins walk to old town. so all Swindon has to offer is on your doorstep.

could have the making of a great hotel, but needs a good hoover!!!!and a clean all through, sheets and towels clean but lots of dust/hairs around egdes of carpet where the hoover doesnt reach,great location good pub atmosphere, sorry to say wewouldnt stay again, great price or not.

Friendly welcome. Very clean rooms and warm and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful Rooms a nice size with a comfortable bed, though pillows could be a bit better. Would definitely recommend to friends and family, and would stay here again if in the area.

Got this through groupon so for the price can't complain. Was right in the centre of town, free parking and breakfast included. When we walked into the bar, the guy behind wasn't so friendly, but that didn't worry me. We checked into our rooms and at first were shocked. It reminded my mother in law of her nan's house, which must be old (we were not away just us 2, it was also my wife and father in law) The floor boards were very creaky, the telly was tiny, and in all very dated. The thing that did concern me was the thick layer of dust on the telly. Unless the cleaner was jimmy cranky, there was no way that could be missed. Towels were lovely, shower could have been better. After a night out, came home, and actually had one of the best nights sleep i've had in a long time. Bed was really comfy, and then brekfast in the morning was equally as nice. For a groupon deal i would recommend for location and price, but full price i would have been dissapointed.

booked a groupon deal to stay after shopping at "the outlet". arrived sunday at 3.30pm to find hotel locked. phoned to check-in, door opened after 10 minutes. Taken to room on 3rd floor along shabby corridors and stairs. Room was clean but very worn out, needed a complete redecorate. bed and towels were clean. tv didnt work and no-one around to sort out. Decided to go home to birmingham rather than stay in this depressing place. Not very impressed with Swindon either, all one way streets and building sites.
