Just back from a quick two night stay which must be or 7/8 time with Alistair and Bev at Chequers. Even though me and my mum live quite close, a quick few nights away is nice. What can i say about Chequers? i wouldnt go anywhere else in Great Yarmouth to stay if anyone payed me..Its great value for money, lovely rooms (fantastic showers!), flat screen tv's, very clean, breakfast is great (even when your hungover one of Bev's bacon butties gets you sorted).Me and my mum just love it there :) everything is great about it!! Be back befor xmas :)

great experience
Me, my partner and my daughter stayed hear for a couple of nights at the beginning of august for a weekend away. Nothing was too much trouble for Alistair and bev they cater for every need, if they haven't got what you would like they will go further than out thier way to make the best possible experience that you can have. We enjoyed thier comoany in the evenings sat at the bar having friendly chats and they are great withs children, it's like we have known them for years, we will defenatly recommend to everybody to check out this great bed and breakfast. Thank you for the pleasant experience, Dan, Nikki and Torey

another excellent holiday
Have just returned home after our 7th consecutive year at the Chequers. Once again we were made to feel special by Alistair and Bev. Our room was equipped with everything we needed, and was always spotless.The meals were something special, all varied, and plenty to eat. the English breakfast set us up for the rest of the day till the evening mealLooking forward to July 2013.

Lovely friendly Hotel
This was my second visit to The Chequers and won't be my last. I cannot praise Chequers highly enough.The breakfasts were excellent, the rooms spacious and clean Bev and Al were friendly and helpful.We can thoroughly recommend Chequers and if you stay there you will not be disappointed.

not very good for AA. 4 diamond hotel
The hotel is situated in a good position.Dining room pleasant enough but room was very tired.Decor drab and old fashioned.Limited hanging space in wardrobe.Flat screen tv was advertised with free view,but we could not access free view.Breakfast was good and plentyfull.Do not think four diamond is a worthy of this hotel,I would grade a two diamond.
