Comfy and cosy
We had adjoining rooms with three teenagers so that was first bonus as they could use their own bathroom for as long as they liked. Secondly, it had been refurbished and updated. Perfect stay for two nights in Albany. The motel was quiet because of time of year, so we didn't have any disturbances. Didn't dine at the popular restaurant Curry Leaf, as some family members aren't into Indian, but it looked busy on both nights ( we were there midweek) our room faced out onto sparse lawn with bit of a view of Mt Clarence.

Old fashioned
Stayed one night. Heavy rain continuously when in albany. The downpipe from the guttering was broken outside our window and rattled all night long as water ran down it. No sleep. Very old fashioned room, nothing like the pictures. Said free wifi on website but its only a small restricted amount. It lasted literally 5 minutes on my phone and had to sit in hungry jacks car park for more wifi. Also no reception from our room so had to sit in car by reception. Room clean though. On road into albany. Nothing really around it. Have to have a car.

Clean and comes with an in-room toaster
This is an ideal place to stay when you are exploring Albany in a car. Parking is right at the front door. Reception closes at 7pm so ring ahead if you will be arriving late.The tea & coffee making facilities includes the usual tea bags, instant coffee sachets, and a kettle. The surprise was it comes with a toaster and knives as well to spread whatever you have on your toast. Supermarkets are nearby (1 min in a car), so snacking in the room is not a problem. I was expecting a mini carton of milk in the fridge, unfortunately that's not included. I can't remember whether a microwave was thrown in the mix.Included is also a reasonable sized LCD television positioned at eye level, not the mount-on-the-ceiling type so you don't have to crane your neck. And the sofa is clean and proper-sized. There is also a small round table and chairs if you have paperwork to do. No balcony and the view outside the large window was other motel units. The air-conditioner is the type which has the compressor attached and I did not switch it on because Albany was just cool and pleasant in April.Shower and toilet were both clean and towels soap shower cap shampoo are all included and the bed is very comfortable so a good night sleep is guaranteed if your neighbour is not snoring loudly. The walls are not really sound-proof. If I had the chance, I must apologize to my neighbour as well because I had the TV on till late night because I did not realise that until the next day when neighbours were making a conversation when I was still drowsy.On the compound is an Indian restaurant, and from what I saw it was very popular, so that's worty a try, although I didn't do it because I just had Indian the day before. And I wanted to try the breakfast as well, unfortunately it closes at 9am and I didn't get up early enough.

Nice motel
We arrived in Albany and went to the motel but reception was closed at 1pm will be back by 2 as we are cleaning rooms. Went back at 2 & still closed had to ring the motel and get someone to come & book us in. You would think they could have someone at reception. Room was neat & tidy. The biggest issue is that when it is quiet the walls are so thin you can hear everything from the next room & paying good money to hear the person in the next room snoring is crap, we would have moved motels but had prepaid for the room. On the 2nd day had to ring for towels etc as the had not left any when servicing the room.

Good value for money
A last minute plan for a quick weekend getaway took us to the Amity and I must admit, it came as a pleasant surprise...the rooms were clean & well presented..we were in the family interconnecting rooms, they were recently renovated and offered great value for money (the plumbing fixtures could with a bit of work but no complaints). There was no microwave in the room on arrival, but when brought to their notice, the guy at reception immediately got us a brand new one. The lady at the reception was very friendly, helped with nice tips about what Albany had to offer in the short time we had at our disposal. All in all a very good experience. Would definitely revisit.
